Don't throw all the leaflets away straight away. In the Habitat one there is a voucher to get a free candle for £15 if you spend £25.

i rang up yesterday to ask why i hadn't received one and the lass told me that since Feb they'd stopped sending them out with subscriptions cos those who have them have use of the Eve card and access to freebies/comps

I have been a subscriber to Eve for years and a few issues ago they stopped giving the free gifts as standard. When I didn't get the free sunglasses with one issue (that my daughter had been eagerly awaiting) I looked at the ad for them in the previous issue and sure enough it said (in very small print) that subscribers would not receive them. I sent an email saying that I was not getting the magazine at a reduced rate and felt it was unfair to miss out on the freebies, and they replied saying that we received the 'eve bonus card' which entitles us to reductions at various places, so tough. It is unlikely that I will ever shop at any of the places I am entitled to a discount from - but if I did, there are probably better discounts to be had elsewhere. Anyway....

I have felt for sometime that Eve is no longer the magazine it once was and was waiting to see if this month's free mascara was included (my thinking was that as it was small it wouldn't interfere with the mailing) and if it wasn't I was definitely going to cancel. As it happens I did receive it, so they have a reprieve, but I am seriously considering saving myself that monthly subscription. :cool:
