I never get the freebies with my subscription to "She" magazine. I've missed out on diaries, paperbacks, make up etc, I've e mailed them and complained but they basically said tough, so I've cancelled it now.
  • I think it's rotten that you're not getting the gifts if you subscribe to these beauty and fashion mags - you deserve them more because the mag is guaranteed your payments! I subscribe to several craft mags and the gifts are always included - there'd be a riot if they weren't, especially since there's often an article featuring the use of the freebie.

I hope you all bombard the publishers with complaints - they're probably the same people who publish the craft titles. Good luck!

Don't like to brag but I subscribe to Eve and I got the free mascara. It wasn't on the cover but tucked inside, as when I opened the plastic wrapper it fell out along with all the leaflets!!:T

I also subscribe to Eve and always get the freebies. I wonder if the no freebies rule came in after my subscription started (at least two years ago) and that just newer subscribers are penalised?

Debts another fine mess you got us into!

If you see somone who hasn't got a smile, give them one of yours.

I subscribe to let's make... cards! and they regularly have subscriber only freebies and extras - plus the 3 issue subscription is only the same price as 2 issues so this is a really good deal if you buy the magazine regularly. Oh and it's a brill mag too!

My Marie Claire always comes with the cover mounts, but my Glamour doesn't - must depend on the publisher, but it's very annoying.

  • I have a Prima subscription and used to have Prima Baby subscription, and never have any of the freebies automatically. They told me that they don't send out the gifts with subscription copies, because that's how they manage to offer the big discounts on subsciption prices. BUT ... if you phone up and ask they will sometimes send the gift if they have any left. Might be worth giving Eve a ring and asking them if they've got any. Failing that, tell them that your freebie was missing when you bought the mag and ask for a "replacement".

The 500 points voucher in the magazine, can this be used on the brushes does anyone know? Thanks

I've used £5 off voucher on brushes, though i dont know about the 500 points voucher. In my experience, the vouchers work when using the brushes that are sold on the same stand as the make up, but not on the brushes that are sold in the more general 'makeup supplies' section if that makes sense.

    Hi All,
I had this problem a few months ago with Prima magazine when I noticed there was a free book worth £12 in the shop and as I subscribe I didnt get it, Having gone through all the relevant chanels I was told no magazine that is part of the Conde Naste publication group bought on subscription get the freebies as they get the magazine cheaper but it is not £12 cheaper a year and thats 1 freebie I know about!! so I have now canceled my subscription of
7 years as protest from now on I vote with my feet.
