BT Trying to charge for repair

It is an old style master socket so no test port. My only extension actually plugs into the master socket (before I bought the house) so when I plug the hub directly into the socket I have to disconnect the extension so that should rule that out.
I am borrowing a spare hub from a mate tomorrow so I can plug that in and see what I get from that to rule out a hub fault.0 -
That speed is a bit suspicious - I'd be concerned that I'd been somehow been moved to the lower 38/10 profile rather than it being any line fault. check what http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ says your maximum speed should be or if what you are getting constitutes a fault - you'll need to go through both tests to get a full picture.0

That's exactly what I was thinking.0 -
You say your speed is 35, but what is your router syncing to the exchange at? You can check by logging into your router at 192.168.1.254 (if it is a home hub). It could be that if your sync is high but throughput low, you have a congestion problem. Also put your phone number into this BT page to see what expected speeds are on your line: https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/adsl.htm?s_cid=ws_furls_adslchecker0

That sounds more and more like someone messed up at the exchange end as you can receive the higher speed, it looks like you've been put on to the slower speed. You need to contact them again.
BTW, what exactly are you paying for?0 -

I don't have a HH6, but the image I have linked to shows it under the status tab.

It looks to me that it is very likely that the ISP has applied the lower profile at their end. The BTw profile is the full fat one.As asked by somebody else - what are you paying for? If that isn't the case then your speed is low enough to have a fault raised.0

The package I have is Superfast fibre 2 unlimited.
I have a hub 5 and can't see anywhere on it that shows a sync speed0
