This is a council ticket. We don't deal with council tickets. This thread was posted here as a 'for information only' courtesy thread.
If you can't follow what you need to do from the first post of the thread, you need to take your case over to PePiPoo, but you won't get anyone to do the work on this for you as your panic post seems to suggest you want.

Hi
I have got a PCN with offence described as " Failing to comply with a sign indicating a prohibition on certain types of vehicle (52)"
However, what is explaining in this forum is "Failing to comply a prohibition on certain types of vehicle".
Do you think if I can appeal for this PCN mentioning with a sign indication?
Thanks0 -
Assuming that this is a proper council fine you need to take this to pepipoo for best advice
This forum majors on private parking invoices rather than proper council tickets
If this is a private parking invoice then read up on this in the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum
If you want further advice after studying the FAQ then you should start your own thread1 -
Hi all and thank you very much for your informative post. As you can imagine the reason I am writing here is because I also have received (as well as my roommate and colleague) my first PCN for crossing Bank Junction (from Princes St. to Cornhill St.) during daytime.
Just to give you some context, both I and my colleague have been working in the City for more than 18 months. We have been commuting on a daily basis from Maida Vale since then. However, a couple of weeks ago they started doing some road works in London Wall and thus we were required (and advised by road signs) to do a diversion. According to the signs there are only two alternative paths, left or right. Both ways lead to Bank Junction, albeit from different roads - one from Princes St. and one from Queen Victoria St. As you probably suspect we had no idea whatsoever that we were not allowed to cross Bank Junction. The signs are ridiculous and clear and hence we did not notice it. I know that this will not suffice as a concrete argument in the appeal, but it is actually true.
As a result of the above, we crossed the Junction for the first time on the 20th of Nov 2019 and we received our first ticket (both at the same time and street) on the 26th of Nov 2019. However, we have crossed the Junction at least 5 times since then.. therefore, we are expecting a total fine amount in excess of £300 EACH.
Do you think that we might have a chance to win those appeals by using the text that was (fortunately) pasted by the friend who started the post? Is it still relevant? And if yes, which sections exactly should we use from the text? I've noticed that some other fellow sufferers mentioned that they copied the entire text (apart from the comments of the author at the end). Should we do that?
We would be extremely grateful for any given answer!
Thank you in advance for your time.0 -
As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30
Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Bank Junction PCN challenged on grounds that 52m sign coding on the PCN was different to the actual sign in place, appeal rejected and increased fine from £65 to £130 so your better off just paying the fine rather than challenging it. The signs in place are ambitious for a reason to in trap you. A very unfair appeals system.
