They do say that "the APG will operate as normal until 3rd October". Any reasonable person would read that as meaning that any purchases made before that date will be eligible.

This was the exact same way I initially read it too, but in the back of my mind, I remembered the relishing comments that the Asda colleague stated to me on Tuesday evening.
Believe me, she was loving every minute of it. She even stated that it is unfair that anyone can get a month's shopping for free using APGs.
This was someone with an axe to grind.
She stated, "No more downloading vouchers after tonight...so make the most of it!"
She got another colleague, to back up what she said to me.
They must have been informed about this before their customers.
Anyway, I phoned Asda House this morning, to try and get clarification and spoke to someone, who just stated what we already know, about the site being down and if it is still down tomorrow, I'll receive a gift card?
I don't think the person I spoke to, understood that sincerity and honesty from Asda, should mean more than a gift card.

See you in the queue at Aldi's

You can continue to check your shop as normal here until the 3rd of October, and you'll have 28 days after you check to redeem your voucher......
This suggests the site should still work for printing receipts until 3 October and then 28 days to use them but the APG site doesn't work.

Don't know if it is relevant or not, but I was in a branch of Asda on Tuesday (4/9/18) evening and I was using a few APGs at a self service till, when a "happy to help colleague" decided to involve herself.
Despite the fact that I didn't need her help, she had plenty to say.
One thing that was relevant was that Asda are doing away with the vouchers in October.
The other thing she said was that "No one will be able to download the vouchers from tomorrow"
She was referring to Wednesday (5/9/18).
If anyone looks at the asda site, there is no where stating you can login and download vouchers.
Yes you can check the shopping, but that seems to be about it.

Checked mine today and get the 'Here's your voucher for £3.98'

Then the sign in opens up but after entering 'email & password' then hitting the LOGIN I get the message...
Oh Dear!
We seem to be having a few problems. Don't worry, the tech wizards are hard at work and we hope to be back up and running in no time.
Please check back later to compare your shop

Since Asda announced to scrap APG scheme, I was not able to print a voucher. It's website still allows the users to compare the shop but won't work when I tried to login to print the voucher.

I tried different times each day but the same pop up window "Oh Dear!" was displayed with messages "We seem to be having problems. Don't worry, the tech wizards are hard at work and we hope to be back and running in no time. Please check back later to compare you shop."

This made me wonder if ASDA is going to cheat customers by stopping anyone print vouchers until 3dr October 2018.

Has anyone been able to print vouchers and what was the latest time you were able to do that?

Why would they bother fixing it - they don't have the competition anymore so they don't need it. If it was your business and was only going to run for a month more anyway would you bother?

Perhaps I should rephrase that & ask if you would pay out money to fix something you didn't have to that was only going to run for another month?

All these schemes cost umpteen thousands to invent, set up, run, maintain ... all for "the few that used them". Those who don't benefit from them are actually narked that they're excluded in some way in the small print.
• I had this response from customer services, I haven't been able to access the site since mid August, the reply is a waste of time:

The website is down completely now. That might be a good sign (but probably not).

So if the facility was deliberately removed Customer Services are not aware.

Does an APG app even exist?

I sent the screenshot requested but pointed out that I had already informed them of the precise error message.

Its not down at the moment but the issue remains. Over the last few days there have been occasions that I have been unable to connect.
