In a similar position, everything has been done now apart from the enquiries to come back, I'm glad to know it's not just me! Next stage is to exchange contracts for me as I've signed the mortgage deed and had the searches back too!

I have been asking my solicitor every few days if there is anything to add but I do feel sorry for her as she Is trying to chase everything up for me! I have been waiting since 22/8 for these final replies... When would you begin to ask the estate agent to chase as from these comments this seems quite early!

Well I have been waiting since that date but I think the solicitor has been waiting for longer for the replies!

Then the enquiries sent 3 weeks ago wouldn't have been touched. Nobody is going to waste valuable time.
How would the vendor's solicitor (the recipient of the enquiries) know whether the mortgage offer was in place?

Call your estate agents. I called mine who asked the vendor, next day the enquiries were received by my solicitor.

    Good luck!

There's probably a partner who deals with complaints if you've evidence they've lied or made a false statement.

    Estate agent as one source.

    This!

I have basically done all of the legwork for our purchase which completes on Friday. Kept chasing up with our solicitor what was outstanding and then EA to get onto vendors side and every time our side received outstanding info promptly! Glad we are all done and dusted and at the finish line now
    Debt free finally :j
