We've never lost one against them when people follow our advice from start to finish.

Thank you - I think I've proceeded appropriately according to the advice received here, by following instructions from the court and by doing my own research.
I am somewhat uncertain about appearing in court, if I have to, not that I am nervous about speaking up for myself more about getting it "right". I intend to give it my best shot. When I got the initial court papers I thought whatever the outcome I will go down fighting. I have been the "victim" of corporate crime several times and only lost out once because I persevered. However none of these instances went to court - my opposition gave in after trying to bully me into submission - I lost out once over unfair insurance charges but that was before the PPI scams were exposed and the odds were stacked against me regarding proof.
I was born in Worthing and grew up in rural Sussex under the South Downs - a beautiful county.

A woman after my own heart! I went to school in Worthing.

So did my sister - In those far off days it was Worthing High School. Both my brothers went to Steyning Grammar School. I lived in Cootham near Storrington until I was 11. It was very rural there then, not quite the same now but I've got good memories of the downs and the countryside before the urban sprawl

Just thought I'd update you as you were really helpful. My case went on and on and I was informed that it would be heard in the local county court in March. I accepted that I'd have to got the distance and do my best. I then got a letter from CEL saying that they had discontinued proceedings. My opinion of them is unprintable but I'm glad I hung on in there. Many thanks

    Thanks for that BloHar.

It might be a good idea to get confirmation of that discontinuance from the court.

Yes - I have thought of that. I'm going to contact the court for confirmation but CEL did send me a copy of the "Notice of discontinuance" form N279 and they said that they had informed the court. Thanks anyway

I have written to the court asking them to confirm that my case has been discontinued by the claimant.
Once I have received this I was considering going after CEL for compensation.
I would like them to pay for their outrageous harrasment, the stress they have caused me and the time I have had to set aside to defend myself but maybe it would be better to just move on.
Your advice on this would be valued.
    Thank you

The only way to do this would be to file a claim, costs you £35 to sue for £500 I think. Like them, you'd have to send a LBC first and work out what your cause of action and POC are.

As you have been helpful in the past I'd appreciate your help again. I cannot find out how I access the Newbies posts despite searching repeatedly.
My daughter has just received a Contractual Parking Charge Notice from G24 Ltd with two photos of her car parked somewhere. unidentifiable. The photos are timed at less than one minute apart so there is no proof that she was parking and it isn't possible to see if anyone is in the driver's seat or not.
G24 Ltd have alleged that she was parking on private land but do not say who the land belongs to.
The post code given is of a car park administered by the local borough not a private company.
She was driving a leased vehicle at the time but did not park in this spot - she may have driven up and turned round .
I have looked at a lot of other posts regarding G24 Ltd and see that the advice often given is to ignore them and not to bother with appealing.
The letter was sent to an address that she hasn't lived at for over 3 years.
The occupier of the address opened the letter in error and is quite willing to return it G24 saying that she doesn't live there and she doesn't have a forwarding address
Do you have any suggestions please
