Sorry I have been so bad at posting this month. I have been stupid busy since starting back at work and seem to just work, eat, sleep repeat at the moment!

I have another mad week coming up ncluding a trip to the airport to drop off my parents at death o’clock on Tuesday morning and open evening at school on Thursday meaning I won’t be home till after 9  Up at death o’clock again on Friday but that is for a girls weekend which should be lots of fun if I can stay awake!

Just realised I haven’t updated my signature at all this month and we are over half way through. Still it will have to wait as I need to sleep now,

    Night all xx

Bit of a waste getting the indian meal from M&S. It was horrible! We dont tend to eat ready meals and maybe as we have been having such lovely concoctions with our monthly delivery from Gousto, it has spoiled us. The meal tasted plastic and had that manufactured taste that a lot of ready meals seem to have. Yuck.....has put me off totally. Not a bad thing as I do wonder what is put in these meals sometimes. Cant be good for us. Anyway, Im rambling. Hope everyone has had a good weekend :D

The mains in the M&S Indian range are pretty dire. I am not sure why. The M&S pizza meal deal is actually a much better deal because you get two large pizzas and two pretty generous sides for £10. I find I can get a good few meals out of that deal with the addition of salad or veggies.
  • Unexpected £22.14 refund as I pulled out of work lottery. Maybe I should have stayed playing if we were winning!

Found £75! from years ago in a drawer. £20 spent on a takeaway and £55 paid into savings. I need to change all the tenners at the bank to spend them though!

  • Tips to add for yesterday £7.40 :j

£12 MOC used in Sainsburys today where the adverts for the lego cards were hitting me in the face and made me think of you CBC ;)

Hope you manage to get them sorted. I guess the home delivery person just never thought to give you them. Bit poor but they should still honour them.

Thanks:T. I thought I must be going mad about the Lego cards as no one else seemed to have heard about them:o. I only know because I had an email from Sainsbury's telling me about the promotion but it wasn't very clear and made no reference to how you actually get hold of them, apart from by spending £10 to qualify for each pack.

I'm sorry your M&S meal was disappointing. I have £15 in M&S vouchers but never shop there and can't think what I could get for £15 that I need. I thought I might treat us and spend them on food but I'm having second thoughts now after your experience. I tend never to buy/eat chicken anyway unless it's a fresh one bought and cooked by me. I'm a bit funny about cooked chicken:o. Maybe some of their other offerings would be a better bet.

Their quiches are quite nice............not as good as homemade of course and I like their fishcakes.

I have to say its the first really horrible meal I have had from there. Their chinese boxes are quite nice as well. If you dont fancy a ready meal, spend it in their grovery section. They have loads of nice bits.

Been to mothers cleaning this morning £20 and have got called into work this afternoon. Would have said no but someone had to dash off to Ireland due to bereavement so I said I'll do a few hours.
That will be another £36 plus tips.

  • Does anybody use snap my eats? How do the payments work and how do you know if a receipt is accepted? I currently have 18 receipts on my account and I'm sure I read that they pay out on the 15th of each month. I don't like how there's no info on the app and nothing to tell you if a receipt will earn a payout, or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated! :)
  • I hope you have a good weekend too, KM:T

I did a post this morning but it disappeared:eek:. I hate it when that happens.

Just wanted to pick your brains about the free Lego cards offer at Sainsbury's as I know you shop there. They are supposed to be available in store or online, one free pack for every £10 spent.

I did an online order last week when the promotion had already started and spent over £40 but didn't receive any Lego cards. I can't see any opt-in button on the website or in the email they sent me so I assumed they'd just be issued automatically.

I've emailed Sainsbury's to ask about how to get them as I plan to do another online order on Monday and don't want to miss out again. I emailed them yesterday but apart from the automated 'thank you for your email....' message I've not heard anything from them. I know from experience that they sometimes take days to respond:(. I don't really want to phone their Helpline.

    Thanks xxx

I thought you might know, being a Sainsbury's shopper

You get the Lego cards automatically with your online order, my first lot were in the bottom of one of the carrier bags, I nearly missed them, last week the delivery driver handed me them when I signed for order. Hope you hear back from them.
  • A nice little tax rebate of £82 is going in to my account with the salary this month. That will see off one of my credit cards and start making a dent in the soon-to-be-interest-bearing part of my 0% card (fortunately not a huge amount, not really worth transferring again after fees).

Total for month: £113.76 and counting. I might actually make it!! :o
