And you failed to note the main point sam was making
guys this is not the point...the original problem is that i was overcharged...
I think uktim's comment was in response to this line from sam's subsequent post
"if i can afford to buy the product at the advertised price no one has the right to stop me doing that:D "Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -

If you look I was commenting on that particular post, not your original post!
I always quote what I'm referring to like above to make it easy for you to see which post I'm commenting on.0 -
Did you take a note of the offer end date on the washing powder? The price you pay .....[/qoute]
Please see below pasting of their advert which clearly states offer to end 13 Nov.
We have sent email to complain but so far are getting silly answers.
Will not let this pass especially as the promotional banner was still there after the delivery was received. It only vanished after our complaint.

Both Mark7799 and uktim29 have both failed to see what I said.
Nowhere did I infer that uktim had replied to me, that was my first post in this thread, how could he have been replying to me? Ok for absoloute clarity I should have put quotes around the words in bold. But I stupidly thought people would know that those words were brought from sam's post. I thought people read the full posts before replying to them, silly me.
Mark said he was referring to sam's "subsequent post". and quoted part of that post, which I will post IN FULL here
"we are not in a communist country....if i can afford to buy the product at the advertised price no one has the right to stop me doing that:D .....guys this is not the point...the original problem is that i was overcharged...now i have just recieved a call from tesco to say that they will refund the difference ...not clear about how much but we will see."
Hopefully now both of you will see that when I said
"And you failed to note the main point sam was making"
I was making a point that instead of addressing the issue at hand, uktim had decided to continue the off topic side of the thread after the OP had tried to bring it round to topic again. And that he had failed to note the main point.

Wig you have failed to follow what I was commenting on. I wasn't commenting on the main point but another point that was made. It is not off topic as the op said it! I know you don't like it but why pretend it didn't exist or ignore it by saying it's not what the original post was about.
Here it is here if you don't believe me!sam1970 wrote:we are not in a communist country....if i can afford to buy the product at the advertised price no one has the right to stop me doing that
Before you go on again, I know it's not about the original post but it is about a post made by the op later in the thread! Therefore it is completely valid & not off topic! I was simply making a comment specificly to that sentence as it existed. Whether it was related to the original post doesn't matter, it still existed.0 -

OMG, I don't believe what I'm reading! Tim, I know which post you were replying to,
I know what it said <<< I just quoted it for you in my last post.
Tell me, was that his main point? The point you picked up on? No,
So you failed to note the main point Sam made in the post you replied to.
And it was an off topic subject, the topic of the thread is the overcharge by Tesco.0 -
Wig if your so concerned about going off topic and what the main point is, even if it was a comment made by the op, why are you discussing this?
It seems you've gone far more away from the main point than I have. Your just having your own little argument with yourself, about something I don't care about, to try and prove a point that only you care about which isn't relevant assuming were free to comment on any aspect of a thread made by the op not just the first post.0 -
So all I said to you was in effect you seemed to have missed his point, to try to bring the thread back on topic. Yes we are well and truly off topic now. I decided to correct both of you. Hope you understand now.0
