Although I'm jealous that the OP has somewhere to store all that!
I'm surprised Tescos even allowed such a bulk purchace.0 -
we are not in a communist country....if i can afford to buy the product at the advertised price no one has the right to stop me doing that:D .....guys this is not the point...the original problem is that i was overcharged...now i have just recieved a call from tesco to say that they will refund the difference ...not clear about how much but we will see.0

To be fair, if I saw something at a fantastic price, that I would always need/use, that didn't deteriorate ... I'd bulk buy up to a year's worth.0

Did you check if there was a limit on the amount you can have. I know sometimes in the supermarkets customers are limited to a set amount of a partiular offer product in each transaction.
I know some people who have got their friends to go the till with the same item if they wanted/needed more than they were "allowed"
Know idea if this is the case for you though.

I know that Tesco do have this policy on certain items, where you are only allowed to buy 10 max. However, this just sounds like a mistake - as the OP title suggests. They overcharged by accident, probably arising from confusion over which items were delivered and which returned, and now it sounds as though they are going to rectify this. I know some people are quick to assume that there is a deliberate intention behind every mistake larger companies make, but sometimes it is just an oversight or error.0
