Does broadband really take up to midnight to activate

Can this really happen. I was checking my now tv account this morning to see if it says anything about the engineer visit on monday but all they've updated is to say Great news. Your broadband and phone are up and running and your bill is now available to view. I then clicked on view bill and it's showing someone has made a phone call yesterday.

Yes it happens where wires do actually get crossed.
On your bill or now tv account page does it list a phone number and is it yours ?

It doesn't show a phone number and the phone number phoned is local.

I had bt openreach out this morning and my fibre was connected to another address so should now tv notice this an refund the payment I made for the phone call made by the other address.There's also 2 calls made yesterday that I've been charged for.
