New router - printer not working

Hi
I have moved to the post office from BT and installed the new router. Since doing so my printer will not work wireless, only when attached by cable in the usb.
When on wireless, the ink levels show as grey, when attached by cable they show correct levels of ink
I would be very grateful for any advise as I am not very technical and I do not know what to do now. Thank you

Have you set the printer up to find the new wifi?
    What printer is it?

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

On the new router, if you setup the wireless network to be the exact same name (SSID) as the old wireless network and exactly the same password you should just need to turn the printer on and off again for it to pick it up.

This is why it is useful to choose your own network name & password and not use the manufacturer default one. I do and if I get a new router I put in my chosen network name & password and everything just reconnects again with no fuss.

Agree with the above, I am on my 4th router using the same SSID and password and everything just carries on connecting.

As mentioned above, changing your network SSID and password should fix things. If not, you may need to reset the settings on your printer and reconnect it to your new network. Without knowing the exact model of printer we can't offer specific advice, but most devices usually have a reset option on them somewhere if you can't be bothered to rummage through menus to change settings manually

Guess first try "WPS". First see if the new router has a buttom on it with the logo/text WPS. If you've found it next read here...

To connect to a wireless network, the printer needs to know certain settings.

SSID (the name of the wireless network)
    Password
Encryption (e.g. WPA2, WPA, WEP, etc.)

If you log in to your router's web interface, you can see the SSID, password and encryption settings it's using.

You need to make sure the printer is using the same SSID, password and encryption as has been set on your wireless router.

    ----

Or use WPS, as above. You just press a button on the router, then press a button on the printer (within a certain time limit), and the printer will automatically join the wi-fi network

Also most likely the printer will have a different IP than before. So if the printer has been setup to use this Ip, it won't work anymore.

Solution: delete the printer and install again

I tried pressing the wps on the router and the wifi within the certain time on the printer. Both lights - green and orange keep flashing with no connection.

I tried uninstalling the printer and then installing - no connection

I tried to find the router web interface information by putting the 192 number in the address bar, but it would not recognise my user or password

What am I doing wrong - surely this should be easy! Help, please! Thank you!
