Most SIM's these days are universal: you just press out the nano-SIM from the larger micro-SIM.
What network charges for a replacement SIM? Just order a free one and ask them to do a SIM swap to move the number. Tesco Mobile certainly don't charge for this.
Their returns policy does not cover items that you've destroyed by using the wrong SIM...No free lunch, and no free laptop
