i am also a motorbike rider ..full bike licence for over 30 yrs and I cycle and have cycled all my life... I know there r idiot motorcyclists n cyclists too... but i believe if more people had experience of motorcycling or cycling it would make them more aware of the dangers on the road...

100% agree with this. Riding a motorcycle (properly) gives much better road sense, you look further ahead, scrub speed before the manoeuvre and generally develop a sixth sense about people doing stupid things.
Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!
  • Just so glad I was in a car not on a motorcycle when she pulled out. ..

Indeed, that's a game changer, swerve avoidance or otherwise.

I've done some advance rider training and its worth 100 times the value of the time spent doing it. Roadcraft is an excellent system!

  • How long does it take third party insurance to deal with this.... i had a letter offering me a hire car and to fix my car thru their accident management company instructed by her ins co..through her insurance .... the day after the accident... i treated it suspiciously. i had 2 phonecalls a letter next day and an email same day. . ... why did they do that ... i havent had an accident since prob 1985.... so this is new to me times have changed

The other insurer wants to minimise costs ... they do this by dealing direct with the affected party rather than that party's insurer, who will add their own costs, inflated accident management company fees, inflated hire car fees etc.

Insurers complain about the inflated costs of accidents, yet they are the biggest culprits in this!
  • im only claiming for my car
