would love to start overpaying on mortgage...every little helps doesn't it? Do you put the little bits into a saving account and then pay it monthly or transfer little bits at a time?

I just do a transfer straight to the mortgage. I'd dip into it if I left it in a savings account. I figure it will save me more in interest too as it's calculated daily. The small amounts will hopefully become big amounts sometime :)

I won't get it all done, but it will do me for a few days. I like lists, they help remind me of things I want to do as much as need to do :)

Never realised you could do that? They are ok with it? We are with Lloyds...used to be C&G, never even thought of asking them about it. I know it says we can pay off any amount we want, where as when we were on a fixed rate mortgage a few years ago, there was a 10% max overpayment. I might start doing it...little bit here and there will all add up.

I never asked :rotfl: I had the account details as I pay the mortgage payment by bank transfer, so I just send over bits whenever I can. It all shows up on my statement. We're on a tracker so there are no restrictions on overpayments. I've never kept track of how much I've overpaid before, so want to see how much those little amounts add up to!
