Thank you :) I was so pleased.

Today we've got to go to Ikea to buy little miss's Xmas present. We bought her something for her birthday from Aldi, but it was missing some parts  After weeks of faffing around, and not getting the parts even though they have been promised several times, I took it back and got a refund. The Ikea version is twice as much, but I bet if there's anything missing they won't tell me to phone Germany (or Sweden) to get the parts!   She didn't get her birthday present, so she should get it for Christmas!

It's a trip I could do without as I had lots I wanted to do around the house today.

We had a look at the present stash yesterday and think we are pretty much there, once we get this sorted. Just a couple of things to get.

We need to make our food list and see what we want, there won't be too much.

I managed to wrap and post all the parcels and cards that needed to be done yesterday, so that's a big relief and a job done.

I seem to have had a busy day today. We went to Ikea this morning and got the item, plus a couple of other bits :o

Then we went to Tesco to get my contribution to the works Xmas buffet.

When we came home I cleaned the cooker and also emptied, cleaned and tidied the kid's bedroom. I didn't declutter anything and there's too much up there, (where do all the cuddly toys come from  ) but at least it's tidy again now.

I hoovered around whilst I was up there too, so I can empty and clean out the hoover before bin day this week.

I'm shattered now, but at least I don't have any ebay packing to do tomorrow :D:D:D:D

Dropped a bag of stuff off to the charity shop this morning on the way to work.

I got up nice and early to have a bit of a tidy up. I think we are going to go through the kids stuff while they are off and see if we can get rid of some. I'll let them choose. Hopefully with their shiny new Xmas stuff they will be prepared to get rid of some.

I think we are pretty much organised now apart from wrapping and getting the food. The house is looking much tidier in places, so I think we've done well this year. Still a long way to go, but I'm really pleased. :T :T

We always had to clear our toys before Christmas to make room for the new ones. Mind you I only had a kitchen type cupboard for them and everything had to fit in it except things like dolls pram and dolls house. That was back in the late 1950s and chidren didnt have as much plus my Dad was in the RAF so packing up was always imminent.
