I chickened out of talking about my anxiety :o I'm so rubbish about that :(

However, I did get a resolution and a referral for another issue that has really been triggering my anxiety, as it's a bit unusual and I was worrying that it might be something more serious (it's not :j ), so I'm glad I went anyway and hopefully it will help with my anxiety as that has been resolved. I'm feeling much more relaxed today.

I was also asked to book a health check which they offer to over 40s so I thought I'd take them up on that. I also managed to set up online access so I can book online in future. I've been wanting to do that for a while as it's so hard to get through on the phones, especially as I need to phone while on the school run.

I went to cash out on PA this morning and discovered several surveys on there. Obviously 6am is a good time :rotfl:

  • Hi,
I'm glad you're feeling better today and that you went to the doctors. Maybe next time you could make a list of things to discuss with the doctor and put it on their desk, so that they can see it. That way they could ease you into a chat about anxiety.

Thank you. I did write a list because I was trying to build up to it, but still chickened out. I'm so rubbish :o

You're not rubbish. It's hard to talk to a stranger about problems we're facing. In the past when I had post natal depression I was able to speak to a health visitor I liked, but asked her to speak to my doctor first to tell them about me prior to my visit!! If I'd had to speak to the doctor on my own it would have taken me ages to build up the courage. You're not alone Jwil and I'm sure if you need to speak to the doctor again you'll manage it next time :).

  • How about writing your doctor a letter about your anxiety and posting it to the surgery, and then after a few days phone them to make a follow up appointment to talk about your anxiety?

I've got a poorly little jwil today so worked from home. Little miss has had her third birthday now

Payday today, so everything has been paid. I've done my car insurance, it's a pain that I had to do it monthly, but hopefully next year I can get it annually.

DH has sold loads this week, I'm fed up with packing, but it's nice to see the pile of boxes going down a bit! I'll turn off international postage this weekend, and then give it another week or so for UK to avoid the Christmas mania!

Little jwil has a party tomorrow if he's well enough, so I'll just pop some money in a card as I haven't got anything.
