NOW Broadband sign up... little confusing

  • NOW are now offering "Fab Fibre" at £25/mth "includes line rental" but if you select it the checkout price is £35.99 (£18 fibre + £17.99 line). That's not just confusing, that's misleading.

I clicked through and got the £25 offer plus £9.99 one off costs.
  • Maybe it depends on the area you are in then. In which case it should clearly explain that. Here's a screenshot when I tried to get the standard broadband supposedly £18/mth all-in.

Must be as the ADSL is coming up as £18 plus £9.99 one off cost for me.

The comparison site does say "Enter your postcode below - the deals you can get depend on where you live." so they shouldn't (perhaps) come up for you. That's just an error, not misleading.
  • I'm not going from a comparison site but from NOW's own site. The T &C's there say "NOW Broadband Network Areas Only." which to me translates as "Offers available where NOW is available." I fact I've now tried again using a different postcode and this time it specifically says the standard one isn't available but the two fibre ones are (see screenshot), which surely means that the left- and right-hand price differences aren't explained by area availability. I agree it's an error but it's a serious programming snafu and one which wouldn't give me much confidence in them as providers.
