NOW Broadband sign up... little confusing

Options
anyone else gone through the sign up process for NOW Broadband through the latest deal? It's a little confusing as everything within the account refers to NOW TV and there's no mention of me signing up to broadband.

I then get an email saying... just a few things to finish setting up your account, but when I click on the link it takes me to a selection of "passes" none of which I want or need. I want the broadband only.

Have i inadvertently clicked through and signed up to NOW TV or is it in fact what it looks like when you're signing up to the Broadband?
School is important, but Rugby is importanter.

I signed up to BB thru MSE. Looks fine to me.

I have had 2 emails to say to complete it, even though when I go in I can clearly see the order is being processed.

    Login to Nowtv.

    Click My account (top right)
    Orders & Appointments

    Should say

    Your NOW TV order
Here it comes. Your broadband and phone will be up and running soon.

    etc.

    Does the £16.73 include VAT?

It says an effective price of £16.67 which is £20 a month plus £9.99 up front costs but they also factor in the £50 reward card so it's easier to compare like for like.
  • As @AndyPK says, log into your NowTV account, my emails when I joined 4 months back all mentioned BB.

I had the same problem and I called them to check all was ok with the order. I wondered why there was nothing evidently extra to set up as the email implied. I then thought hang on they havent taken bank details for the monthly direct debit payment and it turns out they dont take direct debits and the payment goes through via the debit card (they really should make this clear!). Anyway turns out my order was "rejected" on the BT Wholesale system (no definitive reason given, apparently it "just happens" and the guy I spoke to suggested orders via Google Chrome can often be part of the problem, again bizarre). After over an hour on the phone, mostly waiting to be put back through to sales to re-order my order (!), they confirmed the order was accepted onto the system.

Does anyone know the score with how the £50 store card reward works? When do you get it, when is it confirmed?

Yes, me, and I found it also very confusing. The last message I had from them was that they were going to change me over on 30th August, and I've had no emails from them since.

With me, I was changing from Sky broadband. I was half expecting them to say that I wasn't a new customer (Sky owns NOWTV apparently), but no, they accepted the deal, I checked twice ... although I haven't had the M&S card yet.

Update: I've just checked this minute, and they say my broadband was switched over on the 30th, and that I should install my new router. This was on the my account bit of the website. Well, I had sent them a message on the first of September asking what was happening, got no response to that, and according to the website then it wasn't ready. Perhaps NOWTV should be called BACKDATEDTV.

Interestingly, my old sky router is working fine, so unless any of you know different, I'll save myself the job of repasswording everything.

If it works, it works. I might try my Sky router tomorrow to check.

I moved from Sky to NowTV about 4 months back so for anyone else thinking about changing then you'll definitely be treated as a new customer despite receiving a rebranded Sky Q router. If you use the NowTV router BTW you'll see pretty much everything on the web access page refers to Sky (the help tab for instance)
  • I had a similar issue with my go live date. Website said it will go live on a date, the date came it didnt go live, I called and they said there is an issue and BT are investigating which will tale 24hrs. I called the next day and they confirmed there is no issue and I should plug and switch on my router.
At that time, my account online was still waiting to be connected.
When I turned on my router, all was fine.
