Hi. Sorry to highjack but I am in exactly the same position as the OP.
I used a variation of beamerguy's template to email Tesco CEO office and received this reply a week later:
Thank you very much for your email to Mr Lewis. I've been asked to get back to you.
I understand your frustration and I assure you we do very much value the custom we receive from you. The aim of using car park firms and employing a time limit, isn't for profit. It is to ensure that users of the spaces are shopping with us and aren't overstaying, limiting availability to other customers.

I have made Highview aware of your concerns and they have encouraged you to contact them directly to discuss the notice. They will be able to answer any questions you have.
Thank you again for writing to our office.
    Kind regards

Yes indeed I am keen to see if they respond in the same way. Did you attach any statements showing you spending money at Tesco etc to your email? I'd be less than impressed if they fob me off with a similar reply!

What do you plan to do? Wait for HV to send a popla code / cancel it themselves cos they got tired of us ignoring them? Or will you contact HV as Tesco advised? :wall:

Highview will cancel due to the fact they can't beat a keeper at POPLA. No worries.

I was certainly annoyed by the email. Definitely was a fob off.
I did attach a bank statement showing spend at Tesco stores, so was all the more surprising not to see a cancellation.

I had already appealed to HV at the same time requesting a POPLA code, so waiting on that still.

Not too sure how to reply to the Tesco email. Maybe will send a rant to threaten to stop shopping with them as I know they have the power to cancel the charge, but they clearly decided not to. And of course will tell them that I will spread on social media how they treat their customers etc etc.

Hopefully will get cancelled as coupon mad says.

^^ ^^ nice fightback. Social media can be very powerful.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

AMAZING THAT ROSS GOLDEN holds the title of
    "Customer service Executive" ????

So, I must now conclude that Tesco's read this forum

We tried to be nice but reading the reply from Ross which
I must say is holding you as a customer in contempt which
means Tesco do not deserve customers and Dave Lewis
is clearly employing people who have no respect for
    customers that pay their wages.

So, in light of this, I see no reason why Tesco's should
read or be party to the next stage on here

I invite both C4WRX and Dee8 to PM me.

It goes without saying that the regulars on here, you know
who you are, will be privy to this

Just a quick update, so I emailed the CEO of Tesco, and have received this reply (below) so far. I await their actual response. Will update (hopefully with some news soon!🤞). Did you get this kind of interim reply from them before cancellation by Tesco @beamerguy? Ps. as you said the reply did come from the CEO.customerservice email address.

" Thank you for taking the time to write to Dave.

We have received your email and will be in touch soon.

    Group Chief Executive’s Office "

I have read the reply from Tesco which you sent me by PM
I asked you a specific question about a certain date
but you have not replied. I need this information to offer
    a reply to Tesco
