To be honest, they can do whatever they like in different counties. They are not required to offer you a penny more than the statutory package. And there is nothing to stop them going back to that package. As you have been told. Whether you or they consider the UK and the Republic of Ireland a "single unit" is irrelevant, in the past or now. They are entitled to do what they want. They don't have to even explain why they are doing it, and they certainly don't have to discuss it with you. You've had this answer several times now, but keep arguing that it's discrimination, or that they must have to give toy the information you want. It isn't and they don't.Sangie, I am quite aware where the Republic of Ireland is and that it is a different country to the UK. You dont need to go stating the obvious. My company is all over the world and there are redundancies planned in other countries too. The difference with Ireland is that we have always reported "UK and Ireland" as one unit back to our originating country. I am not an expert in employment law and came on here to seek advice, not sarcasm.0 -
