I never said it would get it cancelled nor did I say it expecting that to happen either
but once you have all their evidence you are in a better position to defend it (or appeal it)
plus it gives them a job to do which I consider is worth it seeing as they are putting you through the wringer
Yeah I misunderstood, I have sent a SAR through now, I have reviewed the letters sent to myself (and the other person who has received one) and note they say they have provided the photographs via the online portal, but they are just the crap ones we have already seen.0 -

Thanks Crabman!
I got my SAR back today nothing new in terms of info except I can see they rejected the appeal due to "forum based wording"
I don't know if that is useful0 -
A witness statement (signed and dated by the other person, not electronic signature) is acceptable to POPLA as evidence to corroborate an appellant's argument. Not saying it is a silver bullet, but it all adds to the weight of evidence.
Your pictures embedded in the actual appeal will also be crucial (not uploaded as lots of separate attachments, don't expect the assessor to have to click on lots of things). Have the appeal like an illustrated storybook with the images of signs actually in it, with a line of explanation under.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ok I have updated the document to add captions to the photographs which are embedded (my photographs) - I have tried to keep any changes I have made from templates (other than name changes) highlighted in blue to make it easier
I will get a witness statement typed up signed and scan it in on Monday
Is there anything else I need to be looking at?0 -
Post your POPLA appeal here (minus the photos and your name/POPLA code). Beware not to copy & paste directly from word, as that can get your IP locked out!
It's not just about signage.
Did you both get your PCNs by day 15 and both had the POFA para on the back?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We did yes, can you view it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MhLqDLcHzgRf8TJdQDtW4d_1udlKZaUEdLywlab3rh4/edit?usp=sharing
I can paste it onto the forum if that is no good (just taken the photographs out)
I currently have a section titled : The operator has not shown that the individual who it is pursuing is in fact the driver who may have been potentially liable for the charge
but I suspect this isn't relevant and can come out0 -
Yes, remove the 'not the driver' point you mention, as you both have POFA PCNs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad
I have written out a witness statement which says the following:
I confirm I was present on the day of xth of x 2018.
From my position within the car park I did not see any visible signs or indications that payment was required.
The banner on entrance to the car park was badly damaged and completely unreadable
Signed
I think I am ready to submit this for POPLA now - were you able to read the document via Google docs or should I paste it onto the forum?0 -
Ok I am going to submit my POPLA appeal today with the above witness statement hopefully the fact the sign was massively damaged in the photograph will be enough0
