DD2 still asleep and DH and DD1 out on their run. DH has discovered he needs new trainers and urgently looking at the state of them. So that will be a trip to get some new ones this week before their next run. They are thinking about doing a park run soon at one of the NT parks near to us. I will go to cheer them on no doubt.
On the mortgage front I've been digging with my sharpened spoon and getting rid of the debris of my prison down my trouser leg whilst out for a walk:whistle:. I've been and filled in a online form for a mortgage adviser through the coop site and things look abit more promising. They are contacting me tomorrow so fingers crossed they will be able to steer me in the right direction especially since my spoon is getting a little worn. 2 other banks require further information on the benefits we receive before they will give an answer, so toes are crossed for those ones. TT of 83p.
We've been invited for brunch at in laws this morning at 11 but my tummy is growling like a hungry bear.Need a snack:D. I've got spreadsheets to look forward to later as need to know how to do one for OU work so DH is going to give me a crash course.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

TT of 60p. Phone call from another bank (mortgage in principle) big fat red cross. So will see what the mortgage adviser suggests but not looking hopeful. In the past they (barstools) have used CTC but apparently because DD2 is now 13 they won't do it. Hey ho face on the outside and seething face on the inside.
DD2 refused to go into school today , managed to wake her up at 10:15 and get her into school once she'd had a good cry. Meeting is on Friday so hopefully we might see some movement and pigs will also descend from the sky and poop strawberries. I can feel a complaint email itching to be let out, reining it in for now. Had an email from the school this morning also saying I'd not informed them she wasn't going in. Sent a polite email saying I had let learning support know in the morning and when I brought her I didn't think it was appropriate to announce to the school (pupils etc in reception as the receptionist shouted across the room why was she in late, I said I'd let LS know and to speak to them) why she was late. Also add I was sorry but I felt I'd enough to contend with that morning and speaking to multiple people wasn't one of them.
On a happier note finally managed to complete a question (OU) that has been stumping me for the last 24 hrs:j. Been shopping about £23 and petrol £38.60.
Hope you've all managed to keep warm today as it certainly got cold here.

Well done, CR, it sounds like the school were really breaking some boundaries when you brought DD2 in. Not acceptable to be shouting across the room like that. I hope the meeting goes well on Friday.2023: the year I get to buy a car1

Note to self sort the mountain of paperwork tomorrow. Hoping writing it here will mean it will get sorted as its day 4 and I'm still sorting. Most seems to be junk mail.

Good for you, CR, standing up to that. I often feel that it's the administrative efficiency that matters (this is how it's done...) and they forget there are actual children and actual parents dealing with all kinds of stuff at any one time. I've been in trouble recently for not clearing the 'extras' bill of some £50 but I just missed it at the bottom of a long email and it arrived at a time I was super swamped. But you get told off like you're a naughty kid trying to wind up the grown-ups! So I've lost my ability to pay that and it'll be taken by Direct Debit. It's the financial equivalent of making you sit on tiny chairs for parents' evening while the teachers sit on adult-sized ones. Sounds like you're going high on this one so more power to your arm.Choose kind1

Thanks karmacat and hazelnutty for the support. DD2 in school today, full of beans this morning obviously woke up with ladles of the stuff. Had a good chat with DD2's SENCO, who is so hardworking and really dedicated, about the meeting on Friday and had lots of info to pass on. She wanted to check if DD2 wants to come into the meeting, I informed her that she had not made up her mind yet. I'm concerned how DD2 will cope as usually her meetings are very positive, but this one will be focusing on the more negative stuff as we are having to move her for medical (main point) and behavioural (medical influences this) reasons, which she really struggles with.
TT of 36p. I do like to see the numbers come down each time I log onto my online banking but its soooo slow as its only small amounts every day. So along with the actual payment, the £50 op and the TT everyday I've decided on a Sunday I will will make a slightly bigger payment, so if our account is £562.13, i will pay the £2.13 off so it gives a nice rounder number. Roll on Sunday:rotfl: its very addictive this OP lark. Also heard back from the mortgage adviser and he's found us a deal which will last 5years and we will be paying £51.32 less than we are now, plus £500 cashback. Just need to get my head round scanning documents into the computer and sending them:eek:.
Off to walk the dog in the rain, hope you've all managed to stay fairly dry.

I hope the meeting goes well, CR. It must take up so much emotional energy so warmest wishes to you.Choose kind1

I can't imagine how hard a meeting like that would be for DD2 herself
even if she was actually an adult already. Best of luck for Friday, even if it's focussing on the negatives, I hope positives can come from it.
Plus... snap up the deal the mortgage adviser found :j woo hoo!2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Woke up to a dusting of snow this am. Cars are booked in a week on Monday to get their winter tyres put on, so hopefully no more snow till then. Topped up DD1 school dinners account £15 which should last till new year (she has sandwich 4/5 days). Applied for DD2 CEA card to be renewed £6.00. Veg box (repeat order) sorted also. We use A and C as you can personalise your box more than other companies we've tried. We got sick of been sent things that we wouldn't use as we don't like the taste, so been able to choose from a selection of fruit/veg has been great as it saves on waste, both money and food. TT of 72p, didn't manage one yesterday as busy trying to get assignment sorted. Ended up waiting for the tech savvy teenager to come home to show me how to upload photos and then zip 2 pieces of work together to make a file. To be honest I can't remember anything she showed me yesterday must be my age.:rotfl:.:j But its in and I can now relax for 24 hrs :j. This assignment although was full of complex math equations which i hate (took 4 attempts for me to pass my GCSE), I've really enjoyed it compared to the other modules. Might not be feeling that way after the next one which is on air (last was water).
Supported DD2 to find stuff to fill a shoe box for the appeal school is doing, last night.
DD2 refused to get up this morning, so obviously she only has baby sized spoons of energy today. She must be really tired as I mentioned she needed to take in her shoe box today (was really excited to do this last night) and I still got a no.
Had to go into town yesterday to get change from the bank for the girls bus money and managed to resit the pull of the Christmas lights and shop windows:T. Went to sainsbugs as they have their 25% of TU loaded my trolley up with stuff I liked and then had a martin moment and slowly went through the pile and asked do I like it which was hmmm yes but do I love it which was no. So left with raisins and a pint of milk:j.
Need to get back into the swing of things especially cooking from scratch as this last week we've lived on something with toast /bread or something with cheese/ beans or the ultimate a bowl of cereal. I think I need to look at batch cooking ready for the next time an assignment is due in (Jan 5th 2019).
Must claim back money for train tickets that was cancelled today.
Hope you all have good day and wrap up warm winter's coming.
CRx1 -
Claim made for tickets, refund should be with me in 28 days (£67.95). DD2 up and having breakfast, apparently the body was not interested today so the head let it have a rest. Love her reasoning :happylove.1
