Just £1 on a loaf of bread today. Probably do the first big shop of the month on Monday.DFW - Paid so far - 0% CC's - £2 / £2000, £27 / £1200, £32 / £1800,
Owe on Paypal Credit - £19200 -
£98.83 spent in total this week, although £12.65 was on loo rolls, kitchen rolls, w/up liquid, and laundry liquid, and £11.75 on a bottle of cheap brandy to make plum brandy for Christmas, so only £74.43 on actual food items. Not bad for 4, considering I had to re-stock lots of fresh things as we returned from holiday on Monday.
I've has 1 NSD, and done all scratch cooking this week, plus a load of baking as I'm not going to buy biccies etc any more, so we've been very well fed! Used up quite a bit of stuff from the cupboards and freezer, and I'm going to do a proper food stocktake and meal plan today as it's a bit damp and dreary.

Good morning everyone
haven't been to shops much but did spend £15 on Chinese food last night.
No excuse, just laziness.
Had a tiring week and couldn't be bothered getting organized when I arrived home and just took the easy way out.
Will try better for the remainder of the month.0 -
£14 spent with the market butcher this morning, which will do us all week with a bit left over to freeze. I may pop down tomorrow lunchtime & see if there are any bargains on the soft fruit front; whilst I love the tangy tastes of autumn-foraged preserves, the rest of the family are more strawberry & raspberry oriented so it'd be good to have some of each stashed away to brighten winter scones & sarnies.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

£5.08 in Asda, only needed potatoes and a paper, really, picked up y.s. kale and spinach, got a bottle of Pepsi with ginger which I like but getting hard to find, considered getting 2/3 but didn`t, just noticed on receipt despite shelf label of £1.50 it was reduced to 66p, would have cleared the shelf as not too many on it.Do I need it or just want it.0

I only spent £1 during the week. Well I say I but actually dd took some change to top up her school dinner account one day when she 'couldn't find the bread' to make herself a sandwich - aka slept in! The bread was in the same place it always is.
£31.02 today and meals sorted until next Saturday. Signature updated to reflect today's spend.
So I feel like it's going reasonably well, I am meeting a friend for lunch during the week, but it won't be anywhere expensive. DD has decided on a sleepover rather than dinner out for her birthday so that will cost considerably less (was budgeted for separately anyway).
I don't feel like we've made any real cutbacks/compromises so far in what we're eating, I've just been more organised!September Grocery Challenge [STRIKE]£160[/STRIKE] £78.62Getting back in control
