Sorry to open the thread again but my digital radio has stopped working, when I go to load it searches for a while then says "no service" It quite possibly could be the cable, but does anyone no if could be anything else before I order the cable, Ive contacted pumpkin but they were not that helpful just put me to the forum where I couldnt find an answer?0

Definitely try rebooting the unit - that's a tiny button you need to use a pen for, on mine. Try rebooting it without the DAB USB bit plugged in, then try it with. Contrary to the 'plug and play' nature of USB, booting with the DAB plugged in works best for me. You're in a better position than me if you're using an officially supported USB DAB stick, though.0

Hi another late question, has anyone managed to pair thier iPod via Bluetooth to the device or did you just use aux cable ?0
-
Only the iPod Touch would have Bluetooth, and I've never tried. I would guess you could use the USB cable instead and control it from the head unit, instead of Aux. No problems with Bluetooth and several different Android phones I've had, apart from the odd skip, stutter or disconnect the odd time.0

Thanks for quick response maybe ill try the usb then. Its finding the other and of the aux cable in my car that could be a problem? With thw phone can you control on the unit or has to be with phone.
One other question ive still had problems with thw digitial radio, ive replaced the cable from the unit to ariel but still no signal. I asked pumpkin and theyve suggested its the antenna, as I'm not using one of theres, but it worked so well for so long which makes me think it's not that? I know some of you didnt use their one?0 -
The other end of the aux will be one of the connections at the back of the head unit.
When connected via USB or bluetooth, you have at least some control on the head unit. Skip track, volume etc. I can only speak for an Android phone though.
Antenna - I didn't use the Pumpkin one. You may or may not need to connect the extra cable which I believe is for power for the antenna - try both ways. Of course you may be missing the bigger picture - is there actually DAB reception where you are, and have you tested this on another device?!0 -

With the bluetooth did you just use that, there is also a ipod app on the unit does that work for you?
I understand where the antenna is on the head unit, I meant the one in the car, it's a ford foucs but I guess unless you have this you would not know. I live in London and digital did work before.
How are you finding the mic which came with it, mine is awful I may try and get a replacemnt, I don't mind paying a bit for it?
I may also get a sim card for the data as well have you tried this?
Sorry for all the questions that should be it now.
Thanks very much again!!!0 -

As I understand, the iPod app is specifically for plugging in an iPod via USB. Bluetooth is just Bluetooth, the device, or OS, is irrelevant. You haven't said what iPod you are using.I understand where the antenna is on the head unit, I meant the one in the car, it's a ford foucs but I guess unless you have this you would not know. Good, but it might still be the one I got with a Pioneer unit, that was in previously, I can't remember changing it. Placement is important. Up at the top of the pillar in front of the driver's door, and pointing towards me works best.I may also get a sim card for the data as well have you tried this?
I can't quite get my house WiFi in the car, so yes. My unit doesn't take a SIM, but does support certain 3G/4G dongles. I've got 2 of these, but couldn't get them to work. If testing, make sure you get the dongle working on a computer first. '3' do a SIM with 250mb(?) per month for free which would be excellent for this kind of thing.0
