Not quite. Either dial 191 then press 2 then 1
or pre-enter the 191p2p1 then dial it
the p is usually on the * key. On Nokia press it 3 times; Motorola hold it about 3 seconds.
It's not that important a use for short numbers like this; it comes into it's own a bit more when using callthrough numbers like Simply-Fone and Pre-dial, or calling in to certain menu systems (I used to use it for the ferry company but they change the menu too often!)0 -
The minutes are not free you pay for them in your line rental.EG 200 minutes at £25 a month, each minute costs you 12.5p I believe the ASA have advised networks to use the term inclusive minutes in future.PF.0

"To find out how many inclusive minutes you have left this month, press 1"
It was the choice of words by the OP, not the networks, that you are unnecessarily objecting to.0 -
I am not unnecessarily objecting to anything, and i dont have a gripe with the OP.After all he was asking a valid question, about how to check the amount of minutes left /used.My point is quite valid.Lets face it how many people do you hear say i have x number of free minutes on my phone, when in fact they are paying for them.PF.0

I agree with pricefighter that people should you the term inclusive mins rather than free mins.
If you want to find out how many inclusive mins you have left with T-mobile call 150 they don't tell you straight away (they do with PAYG) you have to go through the menu system, option 1 then option 1 again and then option 2.
I tried it with the code as above, I had to dial 150pp1pp1pp2 it didn't work with just one p I think cos the t-mobile CS system is slow going through the menus.

OK but don't drop in imagined and completely unsupported hints that the networks have been taken to task by the ASA on the subject.
That Orange announcement has been like that for several years; the bill refers to Inclusive Minutes used and Minutes available next period.0 -
Any great deals out there at the moment?
SpikeyUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.

Andy its not in my imagination. I recall T-Mobile once complained about Vodafone on this matter. The complaint was upheld. If you think i am making it up ask the ASA yourself.(Personally i dont like people getting mislead by these free minute statements, thats the only reason i posted my original piece in this link.)
Yes i agree the Orange announcement has been in place for some time.PF.0
