  • Is there an exit fee usually though? Didn't think there was one from CSD...

No account exit fee as such, but there is a £10 per holding transfer out charge. See Miscellaneous Charges

So would the holding transfer out charge be waived, as in my notice to them i wrote exit fee thinking that was right
  • I haven't decided what to do so not sure I will meet deadline.

If I sold my funds and requested a cash transfer from CSD to HL or whoever would that £10 charge still apply?

Well i have just completed my ISA transfer form online to Vanguard from CSD, if it fails the deadline i will have to pay a £10 holding charge buts thats my fault because of dithering.
  • CSD should have given us more time imo

There are no exit fees as long as you start the transfer with your new provider by the deadline.

Technically they will waive the transfer fees if they receive the instructions from the new provider by the 10th September

I started my transfer from CSD to Interactive Investor on Tue 21st August, Wednesday 22nd i had a email from II stating all was underway etc
Today Tuesday 4th Sept all has been transferred and showing in my II account, so 2 weeks all done.
I transferred 3 funds all in specce (if thats what it's called)
I called II twice with a couple of questions and both times the phone was answered straight away and my questions answered perfectly.
To be honest, i was a bit doubtful transferring to II as regards to their customer service reviews etc but i really can't fault them !
Think there was 1 or 2 days where my CSD account was showing as zero and my II account was also showing zero ! squeaky bum time ! haha

Can I just ask what dates everything happened (in more detail if you can)? I'm not in a rush but I sent my documents to ii around the same time. I got an email from ii on 03/09 to say they sent the documents on 23/08 to the administrator.

I got an email on 28/08 from CSD to say they are dealing with my transfer.

I still have a balance on CSD.

edit - actually, just now my balance is nill. So I guess it's underway! Perfect.

edit2 - just so everyone else is aware, the exit fee is not waived on the SIPP transfer fee (£120 or whatever it is). Only the £10 per line is waived.
