Does anyone know how long it takes once valuation has been instructed to hear any more? Also does the mortgage offer them get made after valuation or are there any other steps?

Your broker.
When is the valuation being carried out? I think they are a little behind at the minute, so from when it is carried out, it could be a week or so before you get your offer issued.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi
I went via broker via a packager to get a Bluestone mortgage , had DIP ok but now stuck in a backlog for the valuation to be done, its been 3 weeks now no word on valuation, or offer.
How are you getting on with Bluestone any updates ??0 -
As mentioned above Bluestone are struggling a bit lately on the service front.
I would speak to your broker as depending on their relationship with them they may be able to get things pushed along.I am a Mortgage BrokerYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Broker, so you need to take my word for it.

Spoke to broker again today who chased packager the valuation will now be done in the next 24 hours ,
So does that mean i am now unwritten and if valuation fine
I will get the long awaited mortgage offer ??0 -
It could mean they have instructed the valuation early.
Why are you not asking your broker these questions? They know your case far better than any of us do. I would be a little upset if I found one of my customers asking so many questions on here that they are paying me to answer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We accepted a house offer back in sept. Our buyers have still not got their mortgage via bluestones in place after all these months - no valuation done and no offer yet - bluestones supposedly need 10 days to ‘look’ at each bit if information they have requested. Im wondering if anyone else has had this ridiculous and unprofessional attitude from bluestone mortgages. We are too far down to pull out but would never have accepted the offer in hindsight. Any insight to
Bluestone would be appreciated?0 -
Theyre a little quicker than 10 days now.
They basically launched some help to buy products and launched in to Scotland at the same time more or less. They became too busy.
We have a guaranteed 48 hour turn around time with them and they have not met that deadline for months. Our cases are being assessed about a day quicker than everyone else (5-6 working days at the minute).
Why is the application going back and forth between broker and lender? I would be querying that.
It is what it is though, having a strop about it will not speed anything up.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. So are you saying its the buyers mortgage brokers who are at fault and that its usual to be 4 months into the process having had no valuation done and no formal mortgage offer. We arent having a strop just trying to understand where things have gone wrong?0
