PS for all those PizzaExpress lovers - if you eat in their restaurants at lot, it's also worth being a member of their Club. It's £45 single or £80 for joint membership

You easily get the membership fee back in the vouchers each year (they send you 4 a year, one for each season), plus £10 for your birthday and another £10 for filling out a questionnaire. You get a stamp for every visit, and when you've collected 10 stamps, you get another £10 voucher. You also get a few other benefits like free desserts for mid-afternoon dining, free quartly magazine, free diary etc. On the third year of renewal you also get a bottle of wine.

    Info is here: www.pizzaexpress.com/club.htm
  • Does anyone know if it's just BOGOF on pizza or all main meals?

I'd love to go with OH but I'm allergic to cheese!

On main courses. That should include pasta and salads, I'd say.

  • An excellent offer - we went along for a family meal - we tend to choose where to go based on vouchers. Using these vouchers and all the tesco club card tokens I have yet to pay full price for a meal out. Keep them coming. I have to say that even though pizza hut is better vakue for money I prefer taking my children to pizza express if we are going out for pizza.

Just been for a meal this evening, after a free screening of 'Lions for Lambs'.

It was lovely. Far better than Pizza Hut in my opinion.
    The Diavolo is yummy.
  • pizza really is a big ripoff in terms of value for money.

Bit of dough, sprinkle of cheeze and voila ! £15 !!! - now that's profit!

how long do you have to work to earn that £15 (net) to pay for it ???

bad deal. - even at £6

Yes, I've never understood the cost of pizza in England, in Sweden pizzas usually cost between £2.20 and £5 depending on place and number of toppings, and they're big.
Not to mention that it's quite boring selections in England, usually max 10-15 different pizzas to choose from, the average place in Sweden will have 30 or so to choose from, and some have upwards 100 different pizzas.

If you live in Cambridge and pickup the free Explorer magazine, there is a 2 for 1 Wagamama voucher in their, it's usually repeated each month, I'm sure there are similar free "glossy" mags in other parts of the country too...

Thank you for that never heard of explorer magazine
Is it a local council thing ?
    Will go investigate
