Vanquis....balance transfer in

Did I read somewhere on this forum recently that vanquis don’t accept balance transfers, or that people where having trouble with this..

What were the reasons and outcomes.

The first thread says you can't, but offers a workaround.
The second thread says yes you can!!

I don't see the point anyway. Vanquis has some of the highest interest rates, and even if they have occasional incentive transfer offers (I don't know) I wouldn't expect more than a couple of months on low rates.

I was referring a balance transfer onto vanquis ( to pay it off )

My friend in work has a vanquis card will a balance and I thought previously I had read that vanquis didn!!!8217;t like balance transfers

Oops sorry! In that case, have a look at this thread. They got offered 9.9% for a balance transfer in. Why don't you 'phone Vanquis on Monday and ask them?

I don't have url though I was offered existing Chrome card balance transfer in 9% 6 mths.
I decided again using the offer as I have a medium balance on this card and it isn;t possible to clear any transfers in 6mths-
As mser's advised it wouldn't;t have saved me much if anything at all -was tempting though to bring another card balance down considerbaly.

Vanquis offers balance transfers in. I've had many tempting offers from them. Here's one, for example:



The offers may be only available to Vanquis' favoured customers and not the general riff-raff.

Some time ago some people reported here that they had problems transfer a balance away from Vanquis. But that issue seems to have gone now.

SnowTiger have you has any balance transfer offers from them recently?

In the summer I was getting them like confetti. Now my 0% is ending elsewhere in March they seem to have packed it in, I haven’t seen anything on my offers for a good 4 months at least.

Reason I ask is because they upped my credit limit (but I had to pass an income & expenditure test to get it - it wasn’t guaranteed once offered like other cards!!) - even 6 months would be great!

Wonder if I’ll get any luck phoning them...!?

Thanks for confirming. Mine stopped around then too - was wondering if it was their rating of me decreasing, but perhaps they've just dried up in general.

Will contact them next month closer to my existing expiry date and see if they offer anything!
