I leave the money in there and use TSB for my debit card transactions as making over 20 of these a month earns a fiver. Plus I have 2 direct debits which earns me another fiver. A free tenner a month for spending as I normally would.

I'd suggest you check the terms and conditions of the account. For example do they specify how long you need to leave your salary in there before you can spend it? If it's not mentioned then there is no time you need to comply with.

I don't know of any mainstream current account that requires funds to be left in them for more than a nano second to fulfil minimum funding requirements.
As for salary, that's irrelevant as none require a salary either.

Anyone have an inkling for when TSB will open online applications again? It's not possible to open an account in a branch between 12 and 2pm - my lunch hour window.

It just says 'coming soon' on their website... :(
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

Have you tried asking them? I opened a(n?) RS by phone.

Their website is still very flaky.

Took ages to log on on Thursday and skim my interest, and the app wasn't working at all.

The counter staff in the branch didn't have an answer and seemed confused that I was only prepared to come in at certain times of day. I imagine they've not had a great few months.
  • Has anybody received the 2017/18 tax year income statement from the TSB Classic Plus account yet?
