Hi, I have given Vodafone The IMEI code, copy of the phone purchase receipt, they will not give me the code. Is there anything I can do to push things along?

Are you a Vodafone or ex-Vodafone customer?0 -
Thank you for the replies. I have been waiting for two weeks. Their record for the IMEI code is different to the one I have by dialling *#06#, They asked for a purchase receipt which I sent via email, they did not consider this a valid 'prof of purchase' Vodafone suggest I visit the nearest shop with phone, passport, proof of purchase, and they will 'sort' it!! Why should I do this, I live 12 miles from the nearest Vodafone shop! I am still a Vodafone pay-as-u-go customer with £8.00 credit on the phone. What should I do next?

Take it to the nearest shop (12 miles away)? That's what I would do...'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0 -
Where did you buy the phone from? Have you asked if they could help?
Or just go to a shop, 12 miles isnt that far.0 -
Have you had the phone repaired at any time? Some repairs will reset the IMEI.0
-
No, never repaired How come Vodafone have one IMEI code and I have another for the same phone?0
-
Do you by any chance still have the box the item came in? What IMEI is shown on the receipt if any?0
-
Thank you for the reply. I don't have the box any more. Purchased from Tesco Direct 2014. A copy invoice - receipt is in the post to me will the IMEI code be on that?
