Morning :D gonna be another hot one here! Trying to get my chores done before it really heats up!

Foxgloves really happy to hear your ma is on the mend. What a worry for you all. Thinking of you hun x

    * Have tidied downstairs - [STRIKE]need to vacuum and wash floors[/STRIKE]
    * make big batch of cucumber salad (for bbq we are going to later)
    * have defrosted 2 burgers & 2 sausages from last bbq we had ;)
    * picked up a load of ys items while at coop yesterday - got our buns for today 15p for 6 :money:
    * haul at coop was £1.48 for a carrier bag full of items. Due to heat (and laziness if I'm honest!) we have so far spent a grand sum of £8 on groceries this week :D
    * madam had ys pancakes picked up yesterday = 10p for 4 :money:
[STRIKE]* slice and freeze ys olive bread -[/STRIKE] my absolute favourite and for the grand sum of 48p rather than £2 :money:
[STRIKE]* madam gone to swimming lessons with oh - he gets to swim for £1 :money:[/STRIKE]
    * nip over to the butchers for something. Was thinking steaks but now I remember how good pork chops were at the last bbq.... will speak to oh
    * fruit courtesy of ys haul (there's a definite theme here!)
    * triage fridge - didn't do this yesterday

Amazing news guys! We put a deposit down on our puppy yesterday :j:j:j:j so exciting! Other half of the partnership picks him up on 21st and we'll get him as we come back from our camping holiday in a couple of weeks - I am soooooo in love! :heartpuls

    Morning Frugal Friends,
Mr f working all day & needed a quick get away so I took the opportunity to get an early start too.
*NSD - considered cycling to town for a couple of bits but decided to leave it till early next week.
*Sort out online shopping when it arrives. It also contains the first few items for our emergency stores, so will pack them into the space I have made expressly for this purpose.
*Clean whole house with minimal products & washable cloths. Have already done bathroom, kitchen & bins.
*Two baths from one lot of hot water & will get some free fitness later bailing the water out onto our flower beds.....amazing how many steps this task racks up with a 130 foot garden & short legs!
*L/O sausages to provide the basis of tonight's meal.
*Did a Prolific survey - £7- so a long one, but interesting.
*Might make a batch of garlic flatbreads to use up some old yoghurt lurking in the fridge. They freeze well & always come in useful.
*Check if greengages are ready. Very small crop but I am not leaving them for the wasps.
*Make list of everything I can usefully do on tomorrow's city centre trip & ensure cash from relevant Piggies is in my bag.
*All free leisure.....a good book to finish, a sock to cast on & I feel like playing some CDs & dancing around if I've still got the energy after all that garden watering & vacuuming.
    Have a nice weekend all,

    Hi Everyone

Hope you are all having a nice weekend?
It's been a busy spendy few days here, as I had my graduation ceremony on Wednesday (have been working for 6 months now so felt nice but a bit odd too) and the parents are staying with us for a few days - even with our still slightly smelly carpet.

Managed 2 NSDs though so that's a good start all things considering, survived another 2 long days in the new job, and managed to work an overtime shift today as well. Parents have now gone home but my mum cooked a huge sausage casserole before she went (said she was bored as hadn't done anything for 4 days - works for me) :T so that will feed us for tomorrow at least, possibly more as she is rather generous with portions.

Was planning on going to the gym this evening but am now wondering if this is such a good idea, am totally wiped out and am trying learn from past mistakes of getting too tired.

Not much else to report right now as brain not really in gear, hmmmm neighbours are being a tad noisy (only watching a film, difficult when we all have all the windows open isn't it), maybe I'll nip to the gym for a bit of quiet time after all :)

Foxgloves, sorry to hear that your Mum isn't well. I hope she is better soon.
Purplefairy, have lovely time at the wedding

Not much achieved here today - DD was here with the children for most of the day, and I have been waiting in for 4 items to be collected, 2 Freecycle and 2 FB sales. Would you believe not one of the 4 either turned up nor let me know they weren't coming  One has now said she is coming tomorrow, and the other sales item has been offered to someone else, who has also said she is coming tomorrow. Not decided what to do about the freecycle things yet, reoffer them I guess, but how rude!

    Anyway:
Ironing done (again - all these cotton clothes that need washing every day )
Washed and ironed a top that doesn't fit - I pulled it out yesterday and saw it had a mark on it, so decided to wash and iron it, and if the mark came out I would ebay it, if not it could go in the charity clothes bin thing at the supermarket. Anyway, it is perfect now, looks lovely and has the magic (for ebay at least) Monsoon label. Pity it doesn't fit really :( but it can be listed tomorrow.

    All meals from home
    Nothing spent
    Watered the garden
Picked some raspberries and a courgette with aspirations to be a marrow :rotfl:

    And that is about it!

    - Get ready for my cousins birthday meal

    Morning everybody

Just catching up on the thread. Had to work last night so by the time I got back in I just crashed.

Got a lot more done yesterday than I planned. Slowly getting my energy levels back so plan to do a bit more today and keep the momentum going
Have been trying to package up charity items without much success. One box has collapsed on me, worked out the prices of breaking items down and sending in smaller boxes thru RM and whether there would be a price difference compared to sending a big box (not that I can get a decent one) by Herm@s for example-no price difference so thinking I might pop to our local Tesc@s today, take some recycling and look for some smaller but decent boxes.

Item is doing well on eBay so hope to pop another one on today.
Going to pack a bit more of the living room away. Looks like another lovely day outside so anything that needs washing is going in the wash.
I will mop the kitchen floor. Gave it a good clean yesterday but didn't have chance to mop before work so will do today-will be the highlight of my day......i love a clean floor!!!!

I know, I know. Picked up a cushion really cheap (down from £4 to a £1) in the card fact@ry sale for DD for Christmas, will get this wrapped and stored away tonight. I know it's very early but if I don't do it thru the year I go into meltdown in December. I hate packing and wrapping and the thought of doing it all in one hit I can't face but throughout the year, means I can enjoy November and December.

Right off to grab the day.......after another cuppa!!
