Morning CLF and foxgloves and all who follow. :hello:
My list for today:
Smalls to holiday dancing activity - packed lunches from what we had in, made sausage rolls yesterday to pad it out
They want to make cupcakes when they get back, have everything we might need, will also provide pudding after tea
Check banking, update sheet
Check for surveys
Read some of my k1ndle book I got for 99p. Wanted it for ages but held off rather than pay £7 something for it
Get something out of freezer for tea
Chase mortgage again (eye roll) it's been a month for them to e mail me something :rotfl:I feel a complaint coming on if it's not resolved
Check for tomatoes and raspberries to pick in garden - DH and I had homegrown cherry tomatoes in our tea last night - lovely
Check July to do list and see where I'm at, update August's
Dig out wedding card we need for the weekend
Message friend a pre order for something for next weekend.
Right, think that's quite enough considering I'm supposed to be resting :rotfl: enjoy your day folks.0 -
Morning
back from camping fun and I am no longer broken! Festival was super fun despite the torrential rain! Sadly our 2nd hand £50 tent has given up the ghost and we are going to get a new one. Now madam is around we need a more substantial tent. Luckily I have some money that I can use in savings
2 x loads of washing
both on the line.
today I have been sorting out kitchen drawers. I've sorted out all of madam's stickers/paper/colouring books so she is happily crafting away.
We're going to visit a friend after lunch so today's activity will be a play date - and think we'll go for a walk as well
I checked my bank account and received £11.71 interest :T which has our xmas food pot standing at £99.74 - don't think I even spent that much last year!
All food from stores - we too have been spending much more on groceries CLF. Both oh and I are on healthy dieting plans & with working ft now we're not getting so much "if it's ys" stuff
work out plan for glut of courgettes and cucumbers
Need to go through cc statement and work out what's what - have to pay in the next couple of days!
Read free kindle book & maybe do some sewing...
Ok that'll do meDF as at 30/12/16

This is my problem too. With all the training that OH and I are doing, I can't just feed us with any old stuff. I know that eating healthily can be cheap, but fuelling a high intensity athletic training regime cheaply is much tougher!
Throw in the addition of being very picky about animal welfare, organic veg boxes and general environmental conscience... it's a perfect storm for spending more!
We probably actually do really well considering!
I was reading on the "prepping for Brexit" thread on the OS forum (makes an interesting read...). Someone said about how we'll have to go back to old ways of cooking, which is fine but the meals they were suggesting rely heavily on starchy carbs and sugars for bulking things out and filling you up. That's great in general and I'm always happy to bulk stuff out. But I have to stuff 160g of protein a DAY into hubs d/t the level of training. Plus the 100-120g that I'm supposed to have!
Obviously if we were in a position where we couldn't afford these things, I would have to reconsider, and I have been in that position in the past as you all know. Having said that, I'm not wanting to spend money willy nilly on things and I'm trying to keep things reined in. It's not steak every night chez Fanta!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -

Meeting tonight which I really can't be bothered with tbh.
Met up with an old school friend yesterday, was really nice, had not seen her for years:T
DD BF birthday yesterday so was following events all day aswell as DD wanted to make it extra special for him
Have been really good with my spending recently, not really needed anything not budgeted for. Still need to do the month end in my spends book. Might get that started tonight
Still eating from stores, and made the most of the cheap offers of fruit at Tesc@ when I went for cat food bits
Have joined the decluttering thread as I really need the motivation to get cracking. At the minute I think my motivation has gone on holiday.....without me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Just had an item arrive from eBay, took it out of the packaging and it has just fallen to bits in my hands so will contact seller now.
Must check quidco, always forget until Ally posts up the external links. Banking all checked and everything all good for the new month tomorrow.
Think that's about it from me, have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Carrie - it's such an amazing feeling, I've been putting a little money in all my various pots for months every time I get paid and just now getting to the point where I have all or most of the money to cover the bills as they come in without panicking:Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Hi all,
Feeling all out of sorts at the moment - it's a constant juggling act while the kids are off school and out of routine and I find it pretty exhausting. Going to try to post more regularly on here to keep myself accountable as, when I'm feeling a bit low I tend to lose my motivation.
So, today's small things:
:A NSD today so made my target of 7 NSD this month
:A watered veggies using water butt
:A harvested a big handful of homegrown peas which I'll cook for tea
:A rescued brocolli which was going yellow to make brocolli cheese for husbands tea
:A researching recipes for leftover chicken using stuff I have in my store cupboards
:A made another payment to credit card
:A found two school jumpers and two school t shirts - immaculate condition in the local charity shop - £8 total - my mum bought them so zero cost to me -eldest small has marker pen on all of his so I would have needed to buy new for September and as they have the school logo on they are expensive (£18 for a jumper and £13 for a t shirt) so £62 saving
:A liberated a cucumber, a dozen eggs and some onions from my mums allotment.
Think that's it for nowTotal debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!0 -
Evening all

Back from a few days away / holiday and back to it!
Checked banks
Updated spreadsheet from spending diary that I kept religiously even while we were away :AIt ain't pretty, but I did record it!
Sold a top that I have had for years but hardly worn on ebay :T
Made 2 batches of scones to use up past its best milk we brought back with us. Froze most of these.
Went to brother's flat to let in HA people who needed access to survey for some work that is going to be done
Went to sales unit on the way back, I have done quite well this month, and must find more items to put in there for tomorrow!
Did a small shop at Mr S. Found some reduced bread products, now in freezer
Picked a small bowlful of blueberries
Made a nice dinner from trout fillets caught by OH, baked on top of roasted tomatoes and courgettes from the garden. Added a chilli from the plants in the conservatory and some olives from the jar in the fridge, had this with HG new potatoes and French beans
Did loads of washing, including mattress toppers that we use to make the seats / beds more comfy in the camper van, and sleeping bags, as Dog had made footprints on them
Better go and water the garden before it gets too dark!0
