Glad you had a nice time away, Dawn your tea sounds lovely
Productive day considering. Tried out a new cupcake recipe which was yummy, including using up 2 eggs past their best and some sprinkles, colouring, dust I already had in the cupboard. Put magnets on the back of art projects the girls did yesterday from a craft gift they got for Christmas
Clicked lucky on pr0lific (think they are normally gone by the time I get back from work) and earns £10 in about 30 minutes. All but £1.25 approved too. I'll wait for that and cash out as I already had £11 approved.
Made a yummy stir fry from some veg I rounded up and 2 'minute' steaks I saved out of various packs I used for other things, so seemed like a 'free' meal :A
Used some store cupboard ingredients to make some healthy protein balls.
Was sent some lovely flowers and luxurious chocolates. Saved ribbon from flowers to go in my presents wrapping stash. (DH and I ate chocolates:o:- although will photo the box as they would definitely make a chocolate lover a fabulous present).
I put the wrappers, those ones that posh truffles come in, for recycling. 5 year old - erm, mummy, WHY are these in recycling. Me, well we've finished with them. 5 year old - erm, I think they could go in my craft box, I could definitely make something out of them. And she will, love her :A0 -
Morning all
Spendy daycoming up, as I need to replace my ancient, dying phone, and OH needs new walking boots  So off to a neighbouring town this morning (our town is too small to have outdoor shops / phone shops) to hopefully get some good deals! Was indeed spendy :eek: but got good deals. I had budgeted £200 for a decent smartphone (I don't have to have i-everything, or indeed, anything) and spent just under that, and continuing on my sim only contract, and the shoes OH wanted were reduced by 30% in a sale. Also bought some yoga pants (I don't do yoga, but they are the comfiest trousers atm for my poor tummy scars) and a dress - trousers were £10 from Peacocks and the dress, actually a nice one from Cotton Traders, was £8.49 in a CS
We don't usually 'do' shopping, so it was a bit of a revelation how fast the cash goes  Defo back to not 'doing' shopping again for a good while after all that!
Apart from that:
Check banks and update spreadsheet - yay, a new month :jBanks and spending diary done but still need to put everything in the spreadsheet.
More washing, dry on line. One load in, another to go! All done
Pack and post an ebay parcel Packed and ready to post tomorrow
Try to figure out what my brother wants me to do with his car registration document which he had shoved in with his washing and £20 of the money he owes me  He wants it sent off to change the address. Not sure why he can't do that, but at least I used a free stamp from RM surveys to send it.
Some cleaning - kitchen floor, at least! Kitchen floor done, packed away more of the stuff from our holiday
Sort out front garden a bit Done, for now
Make Thai burgers for dinner, from some YS pork mince from freezer. Must remind myself of the recipe. Actually made a Chinese thing with rice, as we didn't fancy burgers.
Some paperwork for my business Done
Watered whatever needed it in the garden. The weather is forecast to get really hot againI have shelved the idea of putting in more seeds / filling up my empty pots to keep the watering to a sensible level.
I will hopefully manage more than that, though this depends on whether grandchildren turn up, in which case I will be lucky to get anything done :rotfl:
I seem to have been doing stuff all day but really achieved very little - most annoying! Must do better tomorrow.0 -
Morning folks
Today is a big day for OH - the first day he has woken up debt-free since he got his first overdraft about 14 years ago. We've come down from his max debt of over £7500 (overdraft + 2 cc'ds). This was separate to my debt of over £10,000 that you can see in my signature.
:T:T:T:T
We just need to keep an eye on the last account now to make sure that any tail ends of interest are paid off. The accounts are already closed.
We sat and re-jigged the whole budget sheet (have added the £150 cc payment to the "savings" column from now on!). Feeling very positive and on it.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Took meter readings and put into app - done
- Charge phone in work
- Gym at lunchtime - done
- Bit of crochet
- water garden
- Washing in

Morning everyone
Congratulations to CLF OH it's such a great feeling when that debt is gone
Up early and doing really well this morning.
Banking all checked, d. debits have all gone out fine
Did a full cat clean and disinfection this morning. It's a job I hate but I just got cracking with it this morning.
Off out in a bit to do a few more catch up things. Trying to combine jobs into small groups as my fatigue has been higher since hurting my arm. Pain clinic will be pleased that I have actually listened to them!!
Dishwasher unloaded and reloaded with dirty stuff
Washing out on the line, looks like it is going to be a good day so will try and get another load out in a bit.
A local organisation has asked for any craft bits. As I'm going through my declutter phase hoping to sort some out today to drop them off tomorrow esp as the drop off point is a place I need to visit with work.
Food will be from stores, have a lot of use up bits I need to use!
Do need to buy more cat food bits but have a £5 voucher from Mr Morris@ns to use up so that will work out a neutral spend for me.
Hopefully put some items on eBay. Photos all taken, was hoping to do last night but was too tired
Still haven't done spends book-must do this at some point.
Think that's about it from me now.
Have a good day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning all :hello: lovely news about debt repayment CLF
When I looked at Julys to do list yesterday, there were 3 things outstanding on it:
Partnership return
Oh tax return
My tax return
Wonder why I've not done them :rotfl:
Anyway, have managed to draft my tax return this morning and going to do partnership return, I'll then do OH (his is easy after the other 2) if I could get all 3 done and submitted today that would be an amazing achievement. I'm glad I write these things in my journal monthly as if I hadn't, I definitely wouldn't be attempting them today. Anyway, other things:
Post Facebook sale I made
Check banking
Check surveys
Washing up to date and pegged out
Water garden/feed tomatoes
Check we have all clothes washed we need for wedding, iron DH shirt when he tells me which one he'll wear
Shower and let hair dry naturally

Morning,
I've yet to post on here as it has been a busy few days, some spendy!
I went holiday shopping on Monday with my friend and spent quite a tidy sum. I got a lot of dresses in the sale and some gorgeous evening dresses (for the formal nights on our cruise) that were a bargain. Rather then spend £80 plus on each dress, the two that I bought came to £60 which I'm happy about. I put this all on a 0% credit card, however I do have money set aside for this but will utilise high interest savings accounts for now until I get annoyed by it and pay it off in full :rotfl:.
Yesterday we met up with my cousin and her daughter and we went for a walk down a local nature trail, followed by the kids playing on the park and did some den making. We finished it off with an ice cream then went back to my cousins house for tea and to catch up properly.
At the last minute we nipped into @lid and did a food shop which came to £30 and should last us the full week. We didn't need that much but bought things in advance so we don't have to buy them other weeks.
I also sorted out mine and my mums car insurance yesterday. I made a massive saving which I'm over the moon with :j. On the comparison websites my premium came in around £650 and my mums was around £250. Through using a multi-car insurance with existing customer discount and a discount due to using a driving app, I managed to get my premium down to £325 and my mums to £181. So what our quotes were originally coming in around £900 for both, actually only cost us £506. What a bargain. I definitely recommend this company @viv@ as they have always been brilliant.
The next thing to tackle is the travel insurance which the same company as above is coming out cheaper compared to all comparison websites.
Today the boy is off to a local football training session 10am-2pm so he was excited for that. I've a few bits I want to get done so hopefully will do whilst I have the time.
Todays to do list.
1) Check online banking, align it up.
2) Get my mum to transfer funds across for what she owes.
3) Write at least two reflections.
4) Get the boy to try on his holiday clothes.
5) Go shopping for the boy if anything is required.
6) B/L/D from stores.
7) Go to the gym.
I've still stuff to do from my lists last week but I'm not stressing over it. I'm just going to take my time.
Have a good day everyoneChandelier.
