So I emailed Robinsons brewery,

Dear sir/madam,

I am writing just to ask about cancelling a parking charge from ParkingEye at your airport pub in Manchester. I am a regular visitor here and have been a loyal customer for a number of years from being a child and now bringing my own children and family here. I've never had any problems until 14th July 2018 when I visited with my 2 children. We was passing thought I would call in see the new play area. I Parked my car and went to the machine and had no money so I tried to pay by card but it wasn't working so I then tried to pay by text service and sent a text to the number shown. I took my children and got us all a drink and went outside the back to watch planes. We stayed about 30 mins and we then went home. I was there 41 minutes in total. A week later I was amazed and shocked to find a parking charge for £100 and then when I checked my phone I realised that the text message had not gone through. I appealed it with ParkingEye as I tried to pay for parking but machine was faulty, but it was rejected. I contacted the manager at your airport pub and he was unhelpful he just told me there nothing he can do, and that the machine had been faulty for a while. I would not want this to put me off coming here in the future as we enjoy it alot. I would be most greatful if you could try and cancel this parking charge with Parkingeye before a put a formal complaint to POPLA. I have attached the details of the parking charge notice.

I understand that some mobile telephone users have difficulty finding the edit button. Perhaps using a proper web browser will help.

and the thread title says its a HOTEL, not a pub


now you are saying its a pub, in which case it seems to be similar to this PUB thread about the pub that allows people to watch the planes taking off and landing etc

Yes my apologies everyone I know refers to it as the airport hotel I've no idea why but yes it is just ask pub restaurant

Well I ended up ringing the brewery and speaking to a lady on switchboard and she advised they are not willing to help unless I have a receipt of the drinks I bought. I have been through bank statements and cannot find which card I paid on so I've explained this to them see what happens. I've explained I have spent 267 pounds here since January this year and I don't want this to deter me from coning here in future

You will never get any sense from a switchboard lady
as you would not with the tea boy.

It's the MD or CEO who needs to understand about profits
(or loss of), that you need to be talking to

Have you got back copies of bank/cc statements showing regular patronage? Send copies of those.
