  • A bit of good news for a change. The missing school friend of DGD has been found by the Police and they are currently taking her home. DD has no details of how or where she was found. Sadly I fear this won't be her last attempt. DD says she just said the same to DGD as, apparently, this is not the first time this has happened. xx

  • Afraid the news this afternoon is not good. OH was very unwell when I saw him this afternoon, he is going to have to have another scan. I am very worried about him. I stayed as long as I dared, but had to leave eventually.

    Afternoon everyone

Csarina - thinking of you x

Floss - we think the WM is the source of the issue with the power failure, it was just all the sockets but not the lights in the house, so we checked every socket until we found the one that seemed to be a problem, this turned out to be the one that the WM was plugged into, so we plugged something else in to that socket and no problem, changed the fuse in the WM plug and still tripping the switch, so have unplugged it, and have had power restored since, so our conclusion is that the WM has some sort of electrical fault. In the past few weeks on odd occasions it's been put on done a wash cycle, then when I go to it to empty it all the lights are flashing on the front. Time to get rid, not paying out anymore on a 5 year old WM. We've been to big electrical store and bought a new WM - it will be delivered on Friday. They were being a bit naughty and were displaying a price that was an offer price until 25/7/18 - so I asked them to sell it to me at the sale price not the higher one and they did and knocked a bit more off too, they will take the old one away, deliver and connect the new one. Wasn't as expensive as I thought luckily.

We're not spending any more money on the house until next year.

    Keep safe and well x

csarina I'm so sorry that your OH is very poorly, but I hope the hospital can get to the bottom of it. It is more worrying when you don't have a clue as to what you are dealing with. Have some extra hugs xx
Nelski he did appear, he's not one to miss a home cooked meal unless he's at deaths door. Mind you he still thinks that the Drs are holding back on his x rays. They're not, it is a chest infection which will not leave ( because I went with him last time ).
I think you would have been much better company and you would have been most welcome. He didn't want to watch Geraint, but I put my foot down and I enjoyed it. Talk about a sulking toddler :rotfl:.There are not many sports that I enjoy, but I do like the Tour, even watched the GB one in person and got some fab photos of Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins. It must be those cycling thighs ;).
Holly it's a good job you didn't try to paint my doors today, as it's been a wash out here. Can I take a rain check ?
Hope to see you all tomorrow. Night all xx
