Expensive keys and immobilisers make everyone an indirect victim of crime. Its because the law doesn't adequately punish car thieves that it does not deter them so everyone has to pay for these expensive anti-theft devices.0

Every car? So my car has an immobiliser? Didn't know that... does it? It's a 2006, so according to your "20 year" thing, it must have... I never knew that!
What car is it?Edit: Immobilisers and alarms a legal requirement on all new cars after October 1998.
That makes my 2015 Renault Zoe illegal then? Has an immobiliser but no alarm.0 -
Immobiliser only; alarm is not a requirement but if you have an alarm there are laws about how long it can sound for.0
