Well did no slice the pie yesterday but will do some today.
As its the last day of the year i think i will do a little list of things i want to acheive in 2008 although a couple aren't money related!
1) Become Debt Free!!! My loan is due to be paid off on 28th October 2008 but i would love to do it earlier! The credit card will be done by May at the latest as that is when the 0% deal runs out!
2) Save as much money for a house deposit as possible using money from cashback sites and any extra i can put in! Quicker i can pay off the debt helps this too!
3) Lose the 2 stone i have put on since meeting OH nearly 5 years ago! I was a size 8 when we met and am now a size 12 though thats looking like its gonna be 14 soon unless i stop and i am only 5ft1!
4) Start some volunteer work for an animal charity...i love animals and am considering maybe going back to college in September to study to work with them but not sure if i will do that, the idea of being skint for another 5 years is slightly off putting plus i am worried about being a mature student so i will at least do this! My dream is to one day have an animal shelter...not sure if that will ever happen!
Think thats it though will prob edit this later when think of moreNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE
I am feeling really positive today about money and the goals i want to acheive this year and long term.
I am suprisingly not hungover also though a little tired as went to bed at 2ish, watched tv until 3ish and spent between 6am and 8am thinking about MSE and goals :rotfl:Managed to get back to sleep in the end though before getting up at 10!
Have a payment from quidco of £17.14 heading my way so have already transferred the money from my current account to my savings as interest is calculated from 1st of each month, have done a withdrawal on TCB too for £11ish but it says it can take up to 28 days to come through so not sure whether to put that in my savings as if i withdraw anything i lose all the interest for that month. Might wait a few days and see.
Just gotta waiting another week on Rpoints and will be able to withdraw £30ish there too which will go in savings. :TNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

Hello!!!
All still going ok on the money front, joined a new cashback website and have discovered the cashcade bingo thread so working my way through those, done 4 so far but won nothing, still got about 19 left though!
I am still doing slice the pie, on it now infact and hoping i get my 2nd star soon though earnt £8 in total so far.
I have been thinking again, as you do, about my life and the direction its going in and my job and how i don't mind it but its not really want i want to do and i still have about 40 working years left in my life. Been thinking about going back to college again to study with animals but i am scared, 1 because i am going to be older than the other students but more about the money side..
I still want to be able to buy a house and doubt i could do both together plus i am starting dental treatment soon and wouldn't be able to afford that as well as being a student.
Just thoughts running through my head right now, do i give up a decentish paid job where after my debts are gone i could live a lot more comfortably or do i chuck it all in?.....Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

Hello LP, thanks for caring
I am all good although this month is not a great one for reducing debt. Would have been better if i hadn't blown all my christmas money on my lovely ipod! (Still so worth it!)
Been earning some extra cash on slice the pie, finally got my 2nd star.
I am now aiming to save up £1500 by end of May to pay my loan off 5 mths early, got nearly £400 so far but means i am neglecting paying off credit card a bit (its 0% though) but i aim to be debt free by MayNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
