Hi all, I have an update on this case. Haven't heard from anyone since September last year; today I received a "Letter before claim" from Gladstones Solicitors. Is this when I need to take action? There's no signature on the letter stating who this is from.

Who does it ask you to pay?

Does it give you 30 days to respond and encloses (or gives web links to) information sheets and a financial questionnaire?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Charge Amount is £120.00, "£60 claimed by the client for the time spent and resource facilitating the recovery"... etc.

I've been asked to pay or reply within 30 days of the date of the letter; I've been asked to complete a PAP on their website. I need to create a login and use the reference they've given me. (they have provided me with their website link).

They said I can do a paper version, which I can request overleaf.

I'm wondering whether this is where I need to respond; I still have all of my evidence in a little documentation booklet

The NEWBIES thread tells you no major response is needed, but a few things to do now with an LBC, which is what this letter is.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've just been reading up on this - ask them to forward the evidence they have against me, state what's missing from the LBC they've sent me, etc - am I on the right track?

    Yes you are

"£60 claimed by the client for the time spent and resource facilitating the recovery"

They are not entitled to this.

Same as this case which a judge kicked out for Abuse of Process

Great; I'll inform them of that too. Do I just get in touch via their website, create a login, and use the reference they've provided?

That is NOT what the NEWBIES thread says, is it? It's very basic.

I have been following the "Letter Before Action? Letter Before County Court Claim" thread on this site by zzzLazyDaisy, which has been very informative on the subject.

I've just looked on the Newbies forum and the image of what a real LBC looks like has been removed, so I can't tell what mine is supposed to look like.
