  • Hi.....
Apologies for delay in updating but have been waiting with bated breath for response fom company....

Having taken some of the advice given earlier in the thread I emailed the Chief Exec asking him to investigate the situation.... Very nice chap from Customer Relations called me and following discussions, an offer from me of £300 which I believed to be a reasonable amount more than covering their costs taking into account their current costs for mobile broadband, and further investigations on his part he eventually made an offer to reduce the bill by approx 50%...Still thinking this excessive I contacted trading standards and citizens advice, neither of whom could offer a great deal of help... then plonk... what should land on my mat but my regular copy of holiday which... ahh maybe their legal team could assist... to be honest they just advised me to follow company complaints procedures and if no success contact whoever they would use as arbitrators. Anyway I wrote to company thanking them for listening to my concerns, especially chap I had been dealing with who had been very sympathetic, thanked them for the offer stating still felt excessive and upped my offer stating would pay as one off but if they insisted on pursuing a larger amount it would have to be through a debt collection agency as my son was not in a position to pay. I also asked for the next step in their complaints procedure.

Anyway...again apologies for length but if this helps someone in same or similar position am sure it is worth it... Upshot is ....Received a call Friday accepting my offer...SUCCESS... I am not going into specifics.... not that I have been asked not to say but I don't think it would be morally right to reveal all details...suffice is to say it is hundreds rather than thousands..

Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year to all...Even those whose critisicm was less than constructive!! particular thanks to the poster who advised contacting CEO... one thing is for sure it will be a better Xmas in this house now :j :T :T :T :j Drinks all round:beer:

PS...yes I guess I am a pretty special mum.... in my sons eyes at least:A
