    Speky

Happy Birthday and have a lovely day.

It is so hot here I am exhausted but managed to get a couple of double beds changed and the washing machine on. The cleaner helped me with the new mattress topper and everywhere is looking tidier.

Plans for this afternoon are doing a couple of washing machine loads and hanging them outside and sitting in front of a fan with cool drinks. Lunch will be a bagel and fruit and tonight a baked salmon fillet with pickles and salad.

I am not sure whether to go out around five to the local shops for a few bits and pieces once it gets a bit cooler.
I spoke to dd and no immediate signs of baby making an entrance so she is determinedly walking as much as she can etc as she is so big and uncomfortable and only a few days from her due date.

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon all,

Happy Birthday Speky, enjoy your meal tonight :bdaycake:
Had a nice lunch out yesterday and sat out under an umbrella. It wasn't as busy as we thought it would be so we managed to catch up before one cousin had to go to her hairdressers.I've just bumped into another in Aldee, she was going in as as I was waiting for my lift -she's the one who usually picks me up when we meet up.We are the closest in age and spent a lot of time together in our earlier days :D

Vet visit last night,he thinks there is still a bit of pink in one of Ly1as ears, deep down so we are trying steroid drops next & go back in a month.Last time I took the claim form in for them to fill in,I had done my bit and left it with them.Apparently it's a certain VNurse who does that and she rang me with a query the day after but never said that we should collect it and send it off ourselves. Its been sat in the filing cabinet for a month  Counting last nights fee,it's nearly £600  that would be much better off in our pocket.

I'm hiding inside,it's cool downstairs, and going to sort my big kitchen cupboard.I think we'll just have a burger and salad tonight.

Sending recovery vibes to Gers DM and Lainey's SIL,and indeed anyone else under the weather, take care xx

Had a MRA scan yesterday, not the most pleasant experience lying flat on my tummy for 40 minutes. Hated the noise and vibration but at least it is done. Came home and developed a really bad abdominal pain so phoned the clinic for advice. They said not related to the scan and to contact my GP. He thinks it is possibly related to the tablets I am on to shrink the cancer. Tummy is still very tender but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Not feeling at all well but wonder whether some of it is just the heat getting me down.
Happy Birthday Speky, enjoy your day

I had a lovely time with the DGC yesterday, colouring, painting and I even won the playdough bake off :j. DGD, was the judge " the woman with glasses " ( I think she meant Pru ) and I was the only contestant . DD came later for the pick up and saved me from a spelling test :rotfl:. Mr Fix It played on the playstation with DGS. The DGC have decided that they are coming to stay too, but not together as DGD wants a Princess night, Mr Fix It looks lovely in a tiara by the way :rotfl:. DGS want a soldier night, so that's me in camo gear, very fetching :D. I still don't know how they wangled it. Talk about winding us around their fingers .
This morning I have been at Dads, changing his bed and doing some cleaning. His bedroom, bathroom and a hoover through of downstairs. I was dripping. Mr Fix It was trying to sort out the bump in Dad's car bumper, as he has hit his garage door, again. I believe that this is the third time :(.
We are now home, showered and I've put my feet up, while Mr Fix It is online playing an xbox game with DGS. (DD has let DGS have an online pass for the summer.)
Dad's coming to tea later and we are having butter chicken, which I started off in the slow cooker this morning, we will probably have rice and chips too. Pudding will be bananas and ice cream or custard.
Poppy please accept a gentle hug from me.
RosyRed I'm glad you had a good time with your cousins.
Elona has anyone got a trampoline for your DD, a few bounces on that should hurry your DGC along :D
Speky wishing you a very Happy Birthday :bdaycake:_party__party_. I was only pulling your leg about the hat, but.......... a lady must get her order sorted in plenty of time you know ;):rotfl:. Enjoy your day.
Dumpling sorry about your support lady. We on here will have to pull out all the stops for you.
I love comps my DMIL had dementia, but the home used to say she was " pleasantly confused ". The only name she could remember was mine and not any of her family. It is sad to see anyone decline before your eyes.
AOD are you still waiting for revenge ?. What's the saying " revenge is a dish best served cold" ;)
See you round at bellabellas for the pool party _party_:wave:. What time does it start " wine O'clock " ?

Hope everyone is staying cool in this heat. Take care and hugs all round.

Hi chums its all go today I went to Bluewater and got both of my DDs wedding anniversary presents and had a nice free coffee and cake in John Lewis.

Came home as its far too hot to be wandering around the shops

Eldest Drs went to the Drs and she has a ganglion on her achilles tendon and had to have some blood tests and the results today shows that she has enlarged red blood cells, so possibly anaemia, then younget DD went to her Drs this morning and apparently her bad back is sciatica, my girls are falling to bits !!!
