Hi James,

We would like to clarify a few points regarding our service.

Our statement of truth document is not fully specific to each individual customer, therefore it covers all circumstances in which we provide our services.

Our comparable hire vehicles are based on a similar shape and engine size to your own, as set out in vehicle groups agreed across the motor insurance sector.

Lastly, the vast majority of our customer's claims are settled quickly as we have agreements in place with around 80% of motor insurers - where the hire charges are settled at pre-agreed rates. In the unlikely event that the third party insurers does not pay, all of our non-fault customers are provided with a free Credit Protection policy that indemnifies them from any costs, as long as they have been truthful and willing to assist in the recovery.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please email onlineteam@auxillis.com with your reference number or vehicle registration and we will arrange for you to be contacted directly.

    Kind Regards,

    Auxillis Online Team

Why do you overcharge on hire costs and admin charges? Is it profit you focus on and potentially leave the hirer getting taken to court.

Even if you indemnify the hirer, going to court is no fun either, both financially and mentally

Next time you are involved in a claim where liability is clear cut like this then consider claiming directly off the third party insurer rather than getting involved in credit hire

Most insurers are happy to deal with innocent third parties, supply a replacement car and let you choose your repairer if you want to

Then no excess to pay, and no dealing with a credit hire company!

And no complaining to the ombudsman if they misbehave !

They are operating as a credit hire company, quite a different animal to a standard car hire operation who get paid upfront.

    Their rates are regulated.

The issue really is the insurers who pass their insured policyholders on to them instead of doing what the customer has asked and deal with their claim!

In particular, where the Hirer is a business

Those bits only apply where the hirer is a business.

Personally I would always go to the innocent 3rd party dept of the other insurer.
You don’t then make a claim on your own insurance so no excess or NCD loss (although you’ll still have to declare the accident).
  • My insurance company has instructed Auxillis to offer me a hire car after a non fault accident this thread worries me. They have been phoning me constantly and have now sent me a bunch of online statements to read and digitally sign. I wish all the wording appeared to me more so in laymans terms, i feel like i need a lawyer to look over it before i sign. i now have a voicemail and an email asking why i haven't yet signed the online forms yet.

My worry is as i am using my own choice of repairer i need to get some quotes to do so, the accident only happend a couple of days ago i have just finished work and my next day off will be thursday which i plan to visit a local bodyshop who's website states they will quote while you wait.

Is this a reasonable amount of time for me to get a quote? This is another reason i am worried about taking the hire car now should i wait until my own car is in for repair?

If your vehicle is still safe to drive just ignore the Auxillis mob and tell them you aren't signing anything.

They need you to sign up to earn their commission.

The bodyshop may well have their own courtesy car.
