It would be better if the C2W sites used just one method of advertising i.e. the ads on page or the video adverts. Having both is such a drag!

I too am considering giving the C2Ws a rest, unless some magical solution appears. I've had some really good wins with them over the past few years but it's becoming slightly stressful now!

The pages just freeze every time I try to enter? and I have turned off adblocker. Just can't enter anything!

I've just installed an SSD in my laptop and I can now load about 30 to 40 tabs at once without too much slowing down but the CTW sites are still a godawful mess and a real pain to enter. So like they say, 'When the fun stops, stop'.

I was wrong about the captcha's, they seem to be back on some sites

The odd thing about the captchas (since they messed about with them last November) is that you can just click through them without entering anything and your entry will go through.

I'm currently using a Lenovo Ideapad 500 with 12GB Ram & i7 processor, I will shortly be installing a 1TB SSD to give it some extra oomph that should hopefully get things speeded up again.

OOFT! ...that's a great system! ... adding an SSD won't make any difference as an SSD is just a Hard drive and your not saving or loading anything to/from the hard drive.

The SSD does and has helped, when loading 111 tabs all 12GB of RAM gets used up and you then have to rely on the HDD/SSD for handling any swap files and caches for any extra overhead that's required. For most of my work the 12GB is enough but for the CTW's right now with having to turn off adblock it's not enough. The SSD has made a huge difference in speed swapping files around, it no longer freezes up while waiting for the really slow HDD to do anything.

Not convinced the SSD will make any difference to the loading of web pages ... 111 tabs though is a bit nuts to be honest, don't use Chrome would probably be the best recommendation on this one.

Yes it is, but for getting the CTW's done that was the quickest way. Load them all up and zap through each tab then close them down as you do them.
