CTW ads

Seems like none of the click to wins will work with adblock today. And they are sooooooooooooo slow to load without it. I actually don't mind a few ads but my pc is ready to blow up when I load of few of these pages now, they are just so heavy with them. Anyone got anything that works please?

No, but would like to hear any suggestions. Mag daily competitions are the same for me.

All the C2W sites now ask me to disable adblock (which seems to be compulsory). The majority of the comps I've entered today also required watching an advert. The last few I did were the usual captcha page though. It's annoying but I understand why they've made that change.

Yes I understand why they have done this too, but on the other hand they will drive people away. I have been a die hard on these sites for years and have won some really nice things but over the past year due to their constant tinkering and the problems with entries not always going to the 'Congratulations' page thus requiring you to enter again. and again, and again until it does finally go. And now with this latest thing added on, I have from yesterday completely stopped doing them. I have a fairly powerful laptop with i7 processor and 12GB of RAM and it was really struggling to cope.
The Mag Dailys are bad enough but they are only 22 sites and I can still blast through those fairly quickly even though they are also now forcing you to watch the ads.

If they put a few ads on each that were small I might actually read them but as it is they put so many on, most of them tedious videos, that all it does is drive both me and my pc up the wall, and it's so confusing to look at, plastered all over the place, that I don't actually register what any of them are anyway. I really suspect that it's not only annoying but ineffectual done this way.

I turned off adblocker and refreshed the page and it was gone.

I'm actually finding them easier now because captcha's seem to have gone. A few have ads, but plenty more just go through by themselves, more than before. You just have to remember to not do two at once or only one will go through. I open the ones I want to enter in separate tabs, and when I see one has finished (I'm usually watching YT videos on the last tab) I just go and click the next one.

I think it goes to show how we all do these in a different way. Before the recent changes I opened all the tabs at once from the t&c's page from the prize I wanted to enter, that could be up to 111 tabs at once. Before the recent change there was no problem for me doing this and I could just blitz through them, closing each one as I went, now my laptop slows to a crawl trying to open all those tabs. With the amount I want to enter I don't know of any faster way to enter these without spending the entire day on them so for now I have decided to have a break from them for the first time in seven years.

What laptop have you got please? My pc struggles with 8 tags and nearly blows up on ctws now.

I'm currently using a Lenovo Ideapad 500 with 12GB Ram & i7 processor, I will shortly be installing a 1TB SSD to give it some extra oomph that should hopefully get things speeded up again.
