I am so kicking myself for not purchasing dollars earlier. I'm off on Holiday next Friday, I have some botswana pulas but I need more money for my excursions and things and the pound has sunk like a stone! I could pay by credit card (abbey zero or Nationwide) but as they charge 5% for CC transactions I think I'll be better off getting the cash in advance. Is this correct?0

There has got to be some sort of recovery after a day like this. Even when the Aus & NZ currencies dived a couple of weeks ago they recovered by about 10%, within a few days. I am going to wait for a little bounce (when it hopefully comes) and then i'll buy. Off on hols in January.0

heard something on telly about dealers going for the "safety of the dollar" so I wouldnt expect a dramatic recovery of the pound any time soon.0

I think the pound will bottom out at 85 cents, In previous drops there was plenty of oil in the North sea and we had a good export trade of ships cars aeroplanes etc that has all gone.0

I would have thought the currency market would have factored in a win by Obama.0
