difficult to say, i think generally the internet based companies. eg crown currency exchange, the high street bank/shops would be much slower to react.

I bought some off there a week ago and got a rate of 1.485, I have also bought a fairfx card loaded with £750 at a rate of 1.4425 as I don't want to be carrying round a load of cash, I still have about £300 to exchange so I'm still holding out for a better rate on that, but Crown Currency doesn't seem to be at the same rates you guys are mentioning......although you can get good rates of over 1.500 if you are traveling at a later date!

It's all a game of if's and when's, really I don't suppose it makes much difference with the way it is, it's just fun trying to catch a bit of a better deal :D

  • afternoon all,
just wanted to say a quick goodbye to all of you.
thanks for all your kind words upto the wedding.
the whole day went perfectly, we couldn't have asked for better weather or a better day.
anyway, we make our way to heathrow in the morning, the "mrs" (ha ha, i can say that now) is just having a nap after an exhausting couple of days.

so, i'll post all about the honeymoon when we get home as i'm sure most of you will want to hear about it.
    take care, see you soon

PS, i'm playing at Reditch in June, do you know if the course is any good Neil?
