I'm putting together a proper trip report to post on the Las Vegas and Touring Holiday to Nevada, Arizona & California threads but, briefly, for anyone who might be interested, we flew into Las Vegas, spent a couple of days exploring the hotels on the strip, picked up car & drove to Red Rock Canyon, drove to Grand Canyon via Hoover Dam, spent two days driving to LA on as much of Route 66 as still remains, two nights and a day in LA (fab hotel at Hollywood/Highland - pool on the 5th floor terrace had a great view of the Hollywood sign in the hills behind) Am NEVER going to drive in LA ever again - traffic is crazy! Did one of those open-top double-decker bus tours of the sights (Hollywood Boulevard, Beverley Hills, Rodeo Drive etc) then drove to San Diego where we went whale-watching and surfing & kayaking at La Jolla. Flew back from LAX, arrived home about 5pm Sunday, back to work 8.45am Monday.
Didn't feel too bad yesterday but was wide awake most of last night so feeling a bit rough today!
Appears most of the CC transactions I made while away have been processed at $1.49+, just a few at $1.46- $1.48ish so not unhappy.
Neil - how are the moving plans going - I assume they gave you the visa?
Jonathan - can't be long 'til the wedding now? Getting nervous yet?
FunkyFin - will post my full trip report asap.
the fountains are the best. they still do Andrea Bocelli - "time to say goodbye"? without getting all gay, that looks / sounds amazing at night.
I have my 3 year visa. Move out next Tuesday! (28th). Wife not moving out for a few weeks after (till i get the house sorted).

Didn't see them do the Andrea Bocelli, they did Elvis - Viva Las Vegas, and Hey Big Spender when we saw them during the day and Luck Be A lady Tonight when we saw them at night.
And I agree about La Jolla - we loved it .
So it's all systems go for the move then - any luck with the house sale (or shouldn't I ask?:o)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
