Cable has been helped off a European morning low of 1.4478 (plumbed at 8am BST) to a high of 1.4550 by talk of buy interest in the pipeline from a major UK corporate, possibly for today"s 11am BST fix.

The name-in-the-frame is one of theworld"s largest energy companies.

1.4575 (today"s late Asian session top) and 1.4592 (yesterday"s European afternoon/NY session peak) are sterling resistance levels.

UK inflation figures for March will be unveiled at 08:30GMT. Annualized CPI is forecast to fall to 2.9%, from 3.2% in February. Annualized RPI is forecast at minus 0.5%, having been flat in February. There has not been a negative
annualized RPI number since 1960.

i'm doing very similar but going the opposite way round. going on 4th May.
LA to san fran with vegas, palm springs, death valley & yosemite,
hotel most looking forward to is the bellagio.
