Morning All…. Another lurker here
I need some advice…. Last night I ordered c£6600 of $ (at $1.5125) from Crown Currency for delivery in mid-June and now they are asking for payment by bank transfer.
I now am worried because:
1) I cannot pay by credit card so cannot s.75 the purchase
2) The purchase is not covered by the FSA compensation scheme
I really cannot afford to loose the money in case the company goes bust!!!! I know it's a good company to deal with - people always rave about them but is there any way of ensuring my money isn't lost if they do go bust?!
Do I just cancel the order and not risk it and get a lower rate with a safer company?

everyone on here raves about them because they are good.
there maybe a type of insurance you can get to cover your travel money?
or, speak to your bank when doing the transfer and ask them if they will insure you.
for the amount you are buying, if you take a rate cut of only 2 or 3 cent its a lot of money you will lose0 -
Thank you for replying Jonathan

Does anyone know what kind of insurnace I can get?
My travel insurance has a general exclusion of "Bankruptcy/liquidation of any tour operator, travel agent or transportation company" But mentions nothing about currency?!
